I am 29 years old female suffering from ringworm/ bacterial scalp infection. I have consulted family doctor. He suggested flucolab -150 and some other medicine too. I am worried about hair fall and bald patches on skin. Please recommend shampoo to reduce redness and infection
Bacterial infection and ringworm are two different things. Ringworm is fungal infection that presents rings generally over the areas where there is more sweating like thigh area, under the breast or armpit area and that is to be treated by anti-fungal medication for long time like 1-2 months. Bacterial infection is the one which is present with the puss and boils and has to be treated with antibiotics. Fungal infection on the scalp is very uncommon in adults and its only a problem of pre-school children. Proper diagnosis is required for the treatment to work. Consult a dermatologist for the same.

Why are my itchy, spreading, rough skin spots appearing?
It's understandable to feel concerned about new skin changes. The spots you're experiencing, coupled with itchiness, could stem from various causes, including allergies, eczema, or even fungal infections. Observing any patterns, such as triggers or specific locations, can be helpful. To manage this, keep the area clean and moisturized, and consider using a gentle, fragrance-free lotion. However, given the spreading nature and texture changes, I recommend consulting a dermatologist for a thorough examination and tailored treatment.

Hello Sam, it’s great that you're seeking clarity. After circumcision, proper healing typically involves redness, minimal swelling, and smooth skin. If you notice persistent pain, unusual discharge, or significant changes, it may indicate an issue. Everyone’s procedure can differ; some remove more skin than others. To ensure everything is as it should be, it’s best to consult a dermatologist who can examine the area and offer specific advice. They can assess your recovery and provide reassurance.
