The patient was complaining of upper stomach discomfort, bloating and excessive gas. they decided to self-medicate with paracetamol and Metrogyl pills for one day. the patient went to the hospital 36 hours later. the doctors did tests, a total blood count, stool and urine test which all turned out negative. The physician said it might be indigestion. prescribed omeprazole, relcer gel and levofloxacin. its been 48 hours and the patient still has no relief from their symptoms. please advise
If the patient has not experienced relief from their symptoms after 48 hours of following the prescribed medications, it would be advisable for them to contact their physician for further evaluation. . In the meantime the patient can try avoiding trigger foods, eat smaller meals, stay hydrated, and manage stress.

Hello , I have pain in my lower abdomen below my belly button and continues over my belly button and when I press my belly it hurts on the right side , I have COVID and I had some gastrointestinal symptoms could this be something more serious like appendicitis? I also have gas and burping
It's important to seek proper medical evaluation and treatment for your symptoms. Abdominal pain can be caused by appendicitis. And Covid 19 can also cause gastrointestinal symptoms. Inform your doctor about your symptoms, medical history, and covid19 status. Gas and burping alone are not specific to appendicitis.

The lower left quadrant of my abdomen hurts for 12 days with mild bloating. The pain was intense before, very intense when it comes, I would say a 7 to 8 out of 10. I also had abdominal cramps, rectal tenesmus, and have been taking laxatives but not anymore today. I still feel occasional discomfort and pain in my abdomen. The pain was intense for 9 days before dampening now into a more mild form. I made a visit to the doctor in day 9 (it is day 12 today) and the doctor said it should be cleared up in 3 days. The doctor said it may be a fecaloma. After not taking laxatives, the diarrhoea is less watery but I still feel bloated and painful in my abdomen although much milder. I suspect an underlying problem.
Your symproms could be due to some underlying issue..possible causes can be fecal impaction, gastrointestinal infections, Ibs, or other gastrointestinal conditions. Follow up with your doctor for thorough evaluation and diagnosis.
