Could my late period be due to ipill?

Patient's Query

Hello, i had sexual sexual intercourse on June 21, but I had taken an ipill just after 3 hours. My period is 6 days late this month.

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Emergency contraception like i-pill can sometimes affect your menstrual cycle, making your period a bit late. Stress, hormonal changes, or other factors can also play a role. Give it a few more days, and if your period still hasn't shown up, consider taking a home pregnancy test for peace of mind. If you have any other symptoms or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out or schedule a visit with gynecologist

You may be experiencing pain because of prostate infection or a UTI. I advise you to visit a doctor for proper diagnosis. He may suggest some antibiotics for your problem. Also, I suggest you take lot of liquids like cranberry juice etc. to remove the bacteria and toxins from the system. I hope this answer proved helpful.

I have doubts related to pcod and pregnancy

Female | 25

PCOD is a common hormonal disorder in women who are of reproductive age. Disruption of the menstrual cycle can occur, as well as a significant rise in gestational diabetes and blood pressure. A visit to a gynecologist who concentrates on fertility and reproductive endocrinology is suggested to tackle PCOD and pregnancy problems.
