Is 2.2cm Low-Lying Placenta After C-Section Normal?

Patient's Query

I had Csection 2 years before. Now im 20 weeks pregnant. My anomaly scan finished evrything is normal. But my placents is anterior grade 0 low lying 2.2cm. Is it ok?? My dr told me it will come up. But after searching im scared of serious issues. 2.2cm is ok?? Will my placenta come up bcs i had Csection before?? And my anomaly normal should i worry about placenta previa and pas?

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

A low-lying placenta at 2.2cm is actually quite common around 20 weeks of pregnancy. In many cases, as your pregnancy progresses, the placenta tends to move up higher on its own. Your gynecologist mentioning that it will likely come up is a positive sign. The fact that your anomaly scan showed everything as normal is also reassuring. Just keep in touch with your doctor for regular check-ups and follow their advice closely. They will monitor the placental position and guide you on any necessary precautions.

Female | 29

Fast heartbeats can have various causes, including hormonal changes, stress, or other conditions. Regarding your menstrual cycle and trying to conceive, it's normal for it to take some time to conceive. If your're concerned you can check with your gynec and confirm, they might as well advise you further.

I cant calculate mu current period cycle as im having irregular period every month and want to get pregnant.

Female | 25

Disordered periods don't make the process of finding the fertile window easy at all. You should see your gynecologist or a fertility specialist and have him/her evaluate your menstrual history, as this is the best way to get advice on tracking ovulation. It will also raise your chances of conceiving.

I had protected intercourse 15 day ago and after that on 1st December I had unprotected intercourse but after 1hr I had contraceptive i-pill. My date was 7th November and today is 3rd November and I have symptoms of periods but fever from yesterday. And I am having something very tiny discharge of white color I guess because can't even see it clearly. What is that. And when will my periods come. I'm I pregnant??

Female | 21

FEVER may not be related to PREGNANCY.. Tiny discharge is NORMAL.. I-Pill is EFFECTIVE within 72 hours of intercourse.. CONTRACEPTIVES can sometimes alter MENSTRUAL CYCLES.. Symptoms may indicate PERIODS coming soon.. If no periods in a week, take a PREGNANCY TEST..
