A cough that is dry and lasts two months or more can be due to different factors. It's good that she is taking tablets and home remedies but if the cough still stays on, it would be best to consult a pulmonologist once again to have it properly diagnosed. Also, advise your grandma to drink lots of fluids, use a humidifier in the room, and if possible, turn her filled with irritants like smoke or dust.

From past 10 days I was having severe cough and cold, I somehow got better with the treatment that doctor gave me. But from past two days I have been experiencing shortness of breath followed by rigorous vomiting and cough somewhere between nose and throat and not exactly in nose and throat which is causing it difficult to pass out. This cough is causing me breathlessness and making me spit again and again with vomiting What is this cough between nose and throat? Is it sinus?
Female | 21
Your symptoms suggest postnasal drip. It's caused by nasal mucus draining down your throat, triggering coughs, throat-clearing, even vomiting. You feel like breathing is hard and need to spit frequently. Staying hydrated and using a humidifier could provide relief.

Fluid around my lungs what causing that and my d timer a little high
Female | 31
Liquid between the lungs is called pleural effusion. Among the reasons causing pleural effusion, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, cancer and kidney or liver disease are some of them. A significantly levelled D-dimer can mean that there are blood clots, which can also lead to pleural effusion. It is worth to see a pulmonologist to get appropriate evaluation and treatment.

It is possible that you may have an underlying respiratory condition such as asthma or COPD that is causing your symptoms. You should see a doctor for a more thorough evaluation and to discuss treatment options. It is also possible that your symptoms could be caused by allergies or other environmental triggers. An allergist or pulmonologist can help you identify the underlying cause of your symptoms and develop an effective treatment plan.

I had intranasal MRSA and my doctor prescribed me mupricion. It actually made me contagious, why did that happen? Is it common
Female | 34
You could be handling MRSA bacteria which normally causes infections. When contracted, a drug known as Mupirocin is prescribed for treatment. The bacteria may become resistant if not used properly for a long time such that it even stops working, thereby rendering one more contagious. Take note of any symptoms such as increasing redness, swelling, or pain, and consult your physician. They might need to change your therapy to assist you in feeling better. Whenever you are using your medication ensure that you adhere to what your doctor has instructed or else you may encounter some complications.

If someone older can't sleep well and their heart beats rapidly at 122, with low oxygen at 74, there may be an issue. Symptoms like a racing pulse or poor oxygenation often stem from heart or lung problems. Seeking medical care promptly is crucial to pinpoint the exact underlying reason for these signs and receive appropriate treatment.

When on ventilator no sedation. How to lower breathing.
Female | 65
When patients are on the ventilators it is common to give them a sedation to keep them comforable and to give them a relief from the pain. In most instances, the sedation is not required and in a few cases, the sedation might even turn out to be harmful. Likewise, if a patient will be taking off the ventilator should be in co-operation with a pulmonologist or respiratory specialist who adjusts the setting of the ventilator or administers other treatments such as medication.

I am immune compromised and currently have Bronchitis. Today I've been using my pulseox seeing my O2 is mostly 82%-92% is this normal? My O2 has been 98%-100% until today.
Female | 32
Normally your normal B02 saturation level shouldn’t be bouncing between 82-92%. This is, in particular, a troubling case for someone whose immunity is compromised and who has chronic bronchitis. I advise you to seek help from a pulmonologist to carry out further evaluation and suggest treatment options.

I’m 18 years old my name is Paris Luna I have so much pain yesterday at 2am I had it so bad it didn’t go away every time I tried breathing it hurt so much I took ibuprofen it wasn’t working every time I eat in the next 5 minutes it starts hurting a lot and it doesn’t go away I have pain right now
Female | 18
If you're feeling chest pain that worsens when you eat, it might be related to your stomach or digestion, possibly heartburn. Eating smaller meals and avoiding spicy or greasy foods can help. Stay hydrated and avoid lying down right after eating. If the pain continues, it's best to see a pulmonologist for a check-up.

I have fever from last 3 days and headache and cough
Female | 30
A viral infection could explain your fever, headache, and cough. Fevers help fight infections. Headaches and coughs often come with viruses too. Rest up and drink lots of fluids. Acetaminophen can ease fever and headache pain. But if symptoms linger or worsen, see a pulmonologist promptly.
