Periods Stopped After 3 Regular Cycles – Can I Reuse Meptare for PCOD?

Patient's Query

I have PCOD problem.I went to nearby government hospital and they prescribed me to use Meptare 10 MG tablet and I used.and got periods within 10 days..I got regular periods for three months and suddenly from 2 months my period got stopped .can I use the tablet again.?

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

It’s good that Meptare helped initially, but periods stopping again could mean your hormones need reevaluation.
Do not restart Meptare on your own, as repeated use without guidance may affect your cycle or health.
Please consult your gynecologist again—they might need to adjust your treatment based on your current condition.
PCOD often needs lifestyle changes along with medication for long-term balance.

Periods can be missed due to different reasons such as stress, hormonal imbalance, or pregnancy. Flustered, it's all right. The medicine you're taking helps to restore periods, and that's what your doctor provided. Simply do what your doctor has said, wait for the instructed time, and take the pregnancy test.

I am 27 years old. I had a ovarain tumor in my left abdomen and then I went through a surgery. I don't feel like eating anything . I always feel like vomiting and by belly is always full

Female | 27

You are suffering from side effects after surgery to remove an ovarian tumor. After the surgery, you may feel satiety and want to throw up. This could be because your digestive system is still recovering. Start with small, light meals, and drink enough water. Greasy or heavy foods should be avoided. If this continues, you must inform your surgeon so they can give you proper guidance.

How many days after sex I can able to know that I'm a pregnant

Female | 21

After sex, it usually takes 1-2 weeks to tell if you’re pregnant but sometimes there are signs like nausea, tiredness, or changes in appetite which occur when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the womb. To make sure though, take a home pregnancy test; it’s easy and will give you an answer.
