Why am I experiencing pain and vomiting post-abortion?

Patient's Query

I had an abortion 2 weeks ago and I was 5 months pregnant I used pills and my baby came out while I was at home I didn't go to the doctor after that and now I have pains amd I can't eat I vomit

Answered by Dr. Himali Patel

Firstly, after an abortion, it's common to have some pain and discomfort as your body heals. However, ongoing pain, inability to eat, and vomiting could be signs of an infection or complications that need medical attention. In fact, it's crucial for you to see a gynecologist right away. They can assess your condition, provide treatment if needed, and ensure you recover well.

I m 19 year old female.....i had unprotected sex 8 days ago and taken i-pill within 24 hours will it cause any harm to me or...will my periods be delayed....i m not sure...we did used condom but somehow it got loosened and came out...but to clear my doubt i had taken i-pill

Female | 19

Taking the emergency contraceptive pill called i-pill within 24 hours of having sex without protection against pregnancy. If you have a delayed menstrual cycle after using the drug, do not worry it is a usual thing. Nausea, fatigue feelings, and changes in the menstrual period are some common side effects of using this drug. So next time always ensure you are safe by using protection.

I am 27 years old. I had a ovarain tumor in my left abdomen and then I went through a surgery. I don't feel like eating anything . I always feel like vomiting and by belly is always full

Female | 27

You are suffering from side effects after surgery to remove an ovarian tumor. After the surgery, you may feel satiety and want to throw up. This could be because your digestive system is still recovering. Start with small, light meals, and drink enough water. Greasy or heavy foods should be avoided. If this continues, you must inform your surgeon so they can give you proper guidance.

How to know am I pregnant or not But I am having my periods as normal dard red

Female | 19

Periods don’t always mean you're not pregnant. You might feel tired, need to use the bathroom more often, or have sore breasts due to hormonal changes. If you're unsure, it's best to take a pregnancy test to confirm rather than guess.

I had an intimacy last week Wednesday and evening I took Lydia contraceptive, Friday I took just one tablet of postinor 2 .. Yesterday was my ovulation day and I saw blood spots it's not yet time for me to menstruate does it mean am pregnant

Female | 20

Spotting doesn't necessarily indicate pregnancy. Emergency contraceptives can disrupt your menstrual cycle, leading to irregular bleeding. This stems from hormonal fluctuations within your body. Wait for your period before panicking. If it doesn't arrive, take a pregnancy test for reassurance or talk to your gynecologist.

Good night my right tube is blocked is there anything i can take or what can i do to get ready of it

Female | 24

For a blocked fallopian tube, medication alone may not resolve the issue. It's important to consult a gynecologist for proper diagnosis and treatment options like surgery or assisted reproductive techniques. Please visit a specialist for personalized advice and treatment.
