Why haven't I had a period in 4 months?

Patient's Query

Missed periods for 4 month

Answered by Dr. Nisarg Patel

There are several reasons why this might be happening. Stress, changes in weight, hormonal imbalances, or conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) could be at play. It's essential to rule out any underlying issues. I recommend scheduling a visit with a gynecologist for a thorough evaluation. They may suggest blood tests, an ultrasound, or other exams to determine the cause. In the meantime, try to manage stress, maintain a healthy weight, and prioritize self-care.

During your next pregnancy, consider scheduling preconception counseling with a gynecologist. They can assess any underlying health factors and recommend necessary tests. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition, regular check-ups, and taking prenatal vitamins, particularly folic acid, is essential. Monitoring your health closely during pregnancy is crucial. Each situation is unique, so personalized guidance from your healthcare professional will provide the support you need.

I'm having a pregnancy scare, I had protected sex 2 days after my period and it's been 25 days now, my period is a day late and I've taken a pregnancy test which came out negative

in protected sex pregnancy is not possible. Delayed mensuration may indicates other issues like stress, hormonal imbalance etc. Wait for few more days or if you are worried plz visit your gynecologist

So this is from the absolute start. So my cycle start on 4th nov and ended on 9th Then on Monday 11th November I had unprotected sex in the afternoon and took p2 immediately after which was 2hours later on the same day. On Sunday 17th November I started bleeding(I had cramps) it ended on Wednesday morning that week My Flo app had showed me that I was supposed to ovulate on 20th November. That week and the next week I didn’t have any symptoms or signs of anything Until the first week of December where I started getting a lot of discharge Like egg white/watery discharge So on Sunday this week I started noticing my boobs were getting sore and I was bloated Then the cramps started and now today I got back ache. So when I logged in my symptoms and the bleeding in Flo app it counted that bleeding I had on 17th November as a period and the week I had alot of discharge became my ovulation week and now I’m on my last week before my period starts next week What do you think

I didn't got my period and I used Diane 35 for 6months but it is the 1st time to miss my period I'm worried about it

Female | 20

Not having your monthly period can be one of the side effects from Diane 35. But, in that case, we would rule out pregnancy as the reason. It is essential to talk with gynecologist and ask them about your condition's further guidance.

Hi, I don’t know if I pregnant, my last period was in 15 of April, this month it come my period at 14 of may, but it’s not the same, it’s with pink or brown stains and have few clots, but not to much, yesterday one point brown and today as well, but I feel irritable, tired, punctures in my stomach or in my ovaries, yesterday I feel many punctures suddenly on my right breast, also my head hearth me and I feel my pulse on my head, as well I feel sometimes dizzy… I have always sex with out protection with my partner and I wanna become a mother… I’m pregnant? When do I have to take the test? What can I do?

Female | 28

The symptoms you're experiencing could be due to various factors. If you suspect pregnancy, taking a home pregnancy test a few days after a missed period is recommended for accurate results. Since your cycle seems irregular, you might want to test around your expected next period or about two weeks after unprotected sex.

I'm missing my period for two days should I take pregency test

Female | 30

Missing your period for two days is not necessarily an indication of pregnancy. But if you are sexually active and have missed your period, taking a pregnancy test is a good idea. Otherwise consult with a gynecologist or obstetrician for further evaluation and guidance on how to proceed.

Does ovarian cyst cause fertility problems

Female | 19

Ovarian cysts are rarely the cause of infertility in women. They are like small fluid-filled sacs in the ovaries and usually disappear on their own without causing symptoms. However, a large cyst can sometimes cause belly pain, irregular periods, or pain during sex. In rare cases, large cysts might affect fertility, but this is uncommon. If a cyst causes significant discomfort, a doctor may suggest medication or surgery. Importantly, having an ovarian cyst doesn’t usually mean it will be difficult to get pregnant.

Female | 29

A fetal heart rate of 107 bpm may be normal, but the presence of a haemorrhagic cyst and bradycardia requires further investigation by a specialist. Please do not delay seeking medical attention from a qualified OB/GYN.
