I have got retinal gas treatment before 7 weeks, now is that possible to use air transport as of tomorrow?
Male | 50
You might notice changes in air pressure while flying after such a procedure. This could be uncomfortable or slow down the healing process. So, it’s better to postpone your trip until your eyes fully recover from surgery.

Hello! I am an almost 30 year old female and for the past week I have trouble looking/focusing far away or when looking upwards. I always get dizzy and have the constant feeling that me eyes and their surrounding area have become more heavy, out of the sudden, and push my eyes downwards. I dont see blury or have double vision, I just refrain from looking upwards of faw away because I feel instantly dizzy. No medical history, no drugs. Can you please give me an insight as to what is happening;
Female | 30
Vertical heterophoria might be the reason for your dizziness and the heavy feeling around your eyes. It’s a misalignment issue that doesn’t cause blurred or double vision. To fix it, visit an eye doctor who can provide you with special prism eyeglasses. These glasses realign your eyes and relieve the symptoms.

Doctor, I am 18 year old male, having problem in eye of change in it's power to -0.25D. I wear glasses too.I am also eye exercises and routines which can bring my eye power to normal.I am asking how much time should mobile screen to be limited per day to keep my eye safe on the above report?
Male | 18
Your eyesight has changed a bit with a measurement of -0.25D. This might make your vision less clear and give you sore eyes or a headache. If you spend lots of time looking at screens (like phones), these symptoms could get worse than they already are. To protect your sight, attempt to keep screen use down to 2 hours everyday maximum and take breaks every 20 minutes or so where you focus on something in the distance. You should still wear your glasses as directed by the optician as well.

Hi I have ear and eye pain
Male | 35
Your ear and eyes hurt. This unpleasantness is likely an infection, like an ear infection or conjunctivitis. You might see redness, swelling, and fluid leaking. Warm cloth on the ear, cold cloth on the eye could help. But, if pain persists, visit an eye specialist.

Should I study without astigmatism glasses because I don't have now . Plz tell. My exams preparation will be effected or not.
Male | 21
Are you studying? Make sure to wear your astigmatism glasses! Not wearing them can negatively affect your preparation. Astigmatism causes blurry vision and eye strain, leading to discomfort and headaches. Astigmatism occurs due to an irregular shape of the cornea or lens, but wearing glasses can correct blurry vision, helping you study more effectively.

My son's eyes are red and Very tearful
Male | 5
Your kid's eyes seem irritated, with redness and excessive tearing. This could indicate pink eye, often caused by viral or bacterial infections. To provide relief, gently cleanse his eyes using warm water, applying cool damp cloth compresses. Encourage frequent handwashing too. However, if symptoms persist, visit an eye specialist.

I am 43years old woman. My physical apperance and looks like not to more than 28Yrs. I do lots of computer works too. From Last year onwards my vision starts getting low. e.g. if i read news paper i should give more strain to my eyes. I went to an optical shop and checked with them. They said i have to wear glass with points. Don't remember the points. still i use the same. But, when i remove glass the same has to day give over strain. Can you help me is this a major problem? or need more treatment?
Female | 43
This could be a case of eye strain caused by the computer and prolonged use of it. This can lead to symptoms such as blurred vision, headaches, and the inability to focus. The causal factor is usually the long screen time. To help, try taking breaks, adjusting your screen settings, and making sure to wear your glasses as prescribed. If the situation continues, it is better to consult an eye doctor for more examinations.

If a person is farsighted and gets eye laser surgery, then does the person has to repeat it again after a certain time period or is it lifetime?
Female | 24
Laser eye surgery, such as LASIK, can effectively address farsightedness by reshaping the cornea to improve vision. While many experience lasting results, some individuals may notice changes in their vision over time due to natural aging or other factors. Regular eye exams are crucial for monitoring your eye health and determining if any further treatment is needed. Always consult an ophthalmologist to discuss your specific situation and ensure you receive tailored advice.

Optic atrophy due to be retinitis pigmentosa
As per my understanding, you want to know whether retinitis pigmentosa can lead to optic atrophy. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is rare degenerative disease affecting the rod photoreceptors in the retina. The optic disc in RP may show optic atrophy, usually defined as a 'waxy pallor' of the disc, and is assumed to be a due of photoreceptor degeneration. Consult an ophthalmologist to rule out the cause in your case and to also guide you for further course of management. You can refer - Best Ophthalmologists in India, to sought consultation!

Your situation with your eyes sounds very serious as you have tears, itching, and pain. The causes can be many like allergies, infections, or dry eyes. To help with your symptoms, you may try a cool compress and avoid rubbing them. Besides, you need to make sure you blink frequently so that your eyes will remain moist. If the symptoms continue or get worse, medical advice from an eye specialist should be sought immediately.

Can a Squint be Corrected in 10 year old, without surgery ?
Female | 10
A squint, which is also known as strabismus, in ten-year-old kids may be corrected without surgery in some cases if it is diagnosed at the very early age. Symptoms may be that one eye is constantly moving in or out. The causes are muscle imbalance or eye muscle weakness. The treatments can include eye exercises, wearing a patch, or the use of glasses to help focus. It is important that the progress is being controlled by having regular eye examinations.

I am a 28 year old male. I was using my phone and my phone fell off under my eyes....and blood came out.....there is only little wound....blood came....and there is pain in one side of the face.....phone edge got contact with the under eye....what to do for this situation??? Can you recommend anything for not having any scar.....is this issue critical? Can you please tell me???
Male | 28
Blood and pain are the normal things you experience when your skin gets damaged. The area under your eye can be cleared by softly rinsing it with water and then taping a piece of Band-Aid on it. You can gently put a thin layer of antibiotic ointment around the scar with the hope that it will not scar. Identify the issue and if it doesn't heal or you see any signs of infection like swelling, heat, or pus, it is good to see an eye specialist.

I’m wondering if eyeglasses are needed while my right eye is 20/30 and my left eye is 20/25, but both are 20/20 and my right eye suffers from recurrent corneal erosion.
Male | 27
Both your eyes are mostly fine. A corneal erosion can be dangerous and cause pain and sensitivity to light. Even if you have perfect eyesight, you may need to wear special glasses that will protect your eye from an even greater injury. These glasses can be used to stop more erosions from happening.

I am a 13-year-old girl, and one of my eyelids is drooping. This happened a few months ago and I thought it would change but it isn't. One eyelid is slightly droopier than the other. I am suddenly seeing floaters in my vision and a little pain in the back of the eye, especially the left one. Eyes were perfectly normal around 2 weeks ago. I am not seeing any flashes of light or distorted vision, it is just fast moving floaters. I didn't do anything that would cause injury to my eyes. What it could be?
Female | 21
You may be suffering from posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). The reason for this is when the gel-like structure in your eye gradually departs from the retina thus causing floaters. The aching in the back of your eye could be the result of a process that is abrasive to the area. The good news is that PVD often gets better on its own. However, you need to see an eye doctor to confirm there are no complications.
