Recovery time after K-wire surgery for a hand fracture typically ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on various factors such as the severity of the injury and your overall health. During this period, you may experience some swelling, stiffness, or mild pain, which is normal. Adhering to your rehabilitation exercises and following your orthopedist's guidance will be crucial for a successful recovery and regaining full function. To ensure you’re on track for your upcoming match on May 15, I encourage you to schedule a follow-up with your orthopedist for personalized advice.

Regarding some medicine .... I m having osteoarthritis
Female | 49
Osteoarthritis is a condition that can cause pain and stiffness in your joints. The tissues that cushion your joints wear away, leading to this problem. Sometimes it may be due to old age, an injury, or obesity. You can do low-impact exercises such as walking or swimming to relieve the pain. Alternatively, apply ice packs or use heating pads on the affected area. Furthermore, purchasing footwear with proper arch support may also alleviate discomfort.

Hello, I had a partial tear in the patellar tendon in the right knee. The doctor gave me a belt to stabilize the leg, which was loose for more than a month. At the appointment, he said that the tear had healed without me taking an x-ray. He sent me to physical rehabilitation to do the classes. My question is, can I walk without that belt and crutch? To strengthen the thigh muscle
ذكر | 38
Your kneecap tendon has healed, which is great! If you feel unsure about walking without support, that's normal. It's important to start slowly and listen to your body. If you experience any discomfort, continue using a knee brace or crutches. As you grow stronger and more stable, gradually reduce your reliance on them.

I went to the doctor and they said I had hip flexor tendinitis. I took a steroids for 6 days and I am now taking a non steroid for 30 days. My hip flexor pain has gone away I think because I used to hardly be able to walk because I was in so much pain. But now I can hardly run without pain. I can’t figure out if it’s still my hip flexor or if it’s a pinched nerve in my hip, maybe my femoral nerve or if it’s my IT band. My pain stems from my right hip which I think is inflamed. Whenever I try to lift my leg while sitting down it feels dead weight almost. A pain shoots from my hip all the way down to the side of my shin.
Female | 18
It does sound like you may be having some other condition other than hip flexor tendinitis. It is better to see a orthopedist so that you can get a proper diagnosis. They may suggest advanced imaging tests or diagnostic procedures for your pain source.

I have had patellar tendon repair surgery 3 weeks ago . I am now experiencing a burning sensation and tenderness does this mean the tendon has retorn or is this normal
Female | 26
It is a common issue among patients after the patellar tendon repair to have to deal with a burning sensation and tenderness. This may inflammation or irritation in the specific area of the operation as it is healing. These signs are normally a part of the healing process and are not the right indication of the recurrence of the tendon. To relieve the pain, you can wrap your leg with an elastic bandage and put it on the top of the pillows. Strictly follow your post-op care instructions and attend the follow-up appointments to let your doctor track your recovery.

I twisted my ankle a couple hours ago , when it happened it hurt a lot, but I managed to get up a few minutes later and walk home. I rested for a few hours, and when I tried to walk again, it hurt real bad. I can’t step on my foot or even move it when I try to. It hurts really bad but when I don’t move it or step on it, it doesn’t hurt at all. The pain is all around the ankle it feels like tension or something blocking my movement.
Male | 17
Probably you have sprained your ankle. Ligaments can get stretched or torn when you bend your ankle too far, and as a result, you may experience pain and swelling. Additionally, it may cause you to have difficulty properly moving your ankle. Rest your ankle, apply ice, elevate it, use compression, and take medication to help with the pain and swelling. Avoid putting weight on it and allow it to heal. If pain persists or worsens, see an orthopedist for further evaluation.

Lower back pain mainly in spine near the flank area. Pain not present all time. Pain occurred after waking up from bed at any time.
Male | 24
Sore muscles can be the root of this problem due to, for example, a bad sleeping posture. It might also be the spine itself that is giving you problems. Help your body to recuperate from the injury by avoiding movements that make it worse, using a heating pad or ice pack, and trying gentle stretches for the back. If the pain persists or you think you are feeling worse, it is a good idea to consult an orthopedist.

Having a cooler body temperature than usual can sometimes happen. It could be due to things like staying in a cold environment for too long, an underactive thyroid gland, or even certain infections. But, most of the time it's nothing serious. To help, make sure you're dressed warmly, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged exposure to cold. If you're feeling unwell or if this persists, it's best to see a physician for a check-up, just to be on the safe side.

It sounds like you're experiencing discomfort and skin issues on your leg. This could result from various factors, such as infections, allergies, or skin injuries. Redness, swelling, or sensitivity often accompany pain in these situations. First, keep the area clean and avoid any irritants. Applying a cool compress may offer some relief. It's essential to monitor for changes—if the pain intensifies, or if you notice increasing swelling or redness, please consult a orthopedist.

It's common to have slight asymmetries between body sides. Muscle development or alignment can sometimes cause this. Since it's not painful, it's likely not concerning. However, if you experience new symptoms or changes, visit an orthopedist.

Rheumatoid factor arthritis problem
Female | 25
Your immune system protects you, but sometimes it mistakes friend for foe. That's what happens in rheumatoid arthritis—immune cells attack your joints instead of defending them. Mornings can be stiff and painful as joints swell. Medications can ease the pain and slow joint damage, but staying active and eating well are just as important in managing this condition.

Female | 29
Experiencing ongoing discomfort can be challenging. Body soreness and knee pain may stem from various factors, including arthritis, overuse, or injuries. It’s essential to stay active within your comfort zone to maintain flexibility and strength. Gentle stretching, low-impact exercises, and applying heat or cold can offer relief. Consider your daily activities and any recent changes that may contribute to these symptoms. I recommend scheduling an appointment with an orthopedist to discuss your experiences and explore underlying causes and tailored treatment options.

Hi doctor. I had complete tear of ACL on September 2022 and underwent ACL reconstruction and lateral meniscus repair on October 2022 It was almost 6 months post op.. but i slightly neglected my rehabilitation and i used to do the exercises only once in a day when I used to meet my physiotherapist. Due to this i couldn't achieve complete extension and flexion. On one day my physiotherapist asked me lie down on my stomach and forceful ly pushed my knee to achieve beyond my comfort (i was able to achieve around 100 degree flexion ). From then i am having severe pain and i am unable to straighten my leg and also i am unable to stand straight. On consulting my surgeon.. without a much of physical examination he said it os just muscles spasm .. saying if any other complications were there my legs would have swollen.. since there was no swelling he concluded that it is spasm and adviced me to take Hifenac and take complete rest along with icing. The pain as subsidied alot but not completely. I am worried a lot..

Communicating your persistent symptoms to your healthcare team is important. In the meantime, stick to your rehabilitation plan, consider a second opinion if needed, and remain patient during your recovery as it can contribute to a better outcome for you.

Spine and leg pain problem
Male | 21
There are several possible reasons why this is happening. Sometimes it happens because of nerve problems in the spine; sometimes it occurs due to muscle strain or injury. To alleviate these discomforts, perform light stretching exercises, apply ice packs or heat pads on the affected area, or take non-prescription painkillers. If these measures fail to provide relief, visit an orthopedist.

I have low back pain for 10 days now and it's my only symptom. My pain started as a light pain and now progressed. When I sit – it hurts but it goes away after some time, when I find good position. I can't bend over. When I lay down, I find a position which suits me the best and the pain also goes away when I'm laying calm. It hurts when I'm walking. What should I do? Do I need to be worried? Painkillers don't help much
Female | 29
You're likely feeling low back discomfort that worsens when seated, bending, or walking. This kind of ache can stem from strained muscles, poor posture, or spinal issues. Gentle stretches, applying cold or warmth, and avoiding aggravating activities are crucial. However, if the pain lingers or intensifies, consulting an orthopedist is advisable.

I have mild scoliosis is it treatable Is exercise is a good treatment for mild scoliosis
Male | 18
Mild scoliosis is when your spine curves sideways. This twisting condition can cause back discomfort, make one shoulder or hip higher than the other, and make you get tired faster. Exercising helps strengthen spine muscles, improving posture. So focus on stretches and strengthening moves for that curved spine. But remember, regular orthopedist checkups monitor scoliosis progress. They ensure the right steps are taken for your specific curve's treatment.
