I have so many holes in my face and blemishes due to pimples. How can I remove these holes for always? I heard about laser treatment. If I will go through laser treatment what will be the cost of it ?

Laser treatment uses a light ray and targets it upon the upper layers of your skin so as to break down the tissue which contains scars, same encourages growth of newer skin cells as well, with the end result being a healthy looking skin. Laser treatment can efficiently reduce the appearance of acne. But for more drastic results such as acne free skin, it would have to be carried out in combination with some other treatment.
3 types of laser techniques are performed, based on the type of scar which is being treated:
i.) Ablative laser resurfacing device: uses erbium YAG or CO2 laser device, to remove upper layer of your skin where scarring is present. It can take anywhere between 3 to 10 days for the redness to begin to subsiding.
ii.) Non-ablative laser resurfacing: This treatment will use infrared laser, by the heat of which collagen production will be activated and growth of newer cells would replace damaged & scarred tissue.
iii.) Fractionated laser treatment: The tissue underneath your scar is targeted with the help of laser, so as to remove dark pigmented cells. Boxcar and icepick scars can respond well to this treatment.
Typical side effects seen are swelling, redness, and pain on the region which was treated. Hyperpigmentation or some skin infection are risks which you will face if the doctor isn't cautious enough. Your medical history will be checked, and if you the doctor considers you fit for this treatment, then you will be advised to avoid certain supplements, smoking and skin care products containing certain ingredients, before treatment, so that the chances of any risk reduce. The cost of laser acne for scar falls between Rs 7000 and Rs 20000.

I am 30 years old. I am a PCOD patient and have lots of facial hair as well as on chin and neck. I want to do laser hair removal. Please tell me the cost of full face hair removal and is it effective?

Laser hair removal is a very effective way to reduce unwanted facial hair. It works by targeting the pigment in the hair follicle, which is why it is most effective on those with dark, coarse hair. It may require multiple treatments to achieve desired results, and many people find that laser hair removal is a permanent solution to their unwanted facial hair.

The cost of full face laser hair removal varies depending on the provider, location, and size of the area being treated.

Dear ma'am, laser hair removal cost of full face can vary depending on city and other factors but it will most certainly fall within the range of 9,500rs to 15,5000rs approx. It won't stop your hair from growing again, but will most certainly slow down their growth, you may want to avoid hot baths and tanning for a week after getting this treatment however. You can connect with best dermatologists in India to know more.

I am 26 year old Female. I have acne scars from past 2-3 months. I was using Clear gel ointment on them. The scars have reduced but still the skin is not getting clear. Prior to this I never had acne. Also my skin is normal type not at all acne prone or oily skin. Please suggest some Medication or ointment for clear skin. I have started following a skincare routine with Cleansing Toning Vitamin C serum Eye cream Moisturizer and Sunscreen.

The best way to get clear skin is to use a gentle skincare routine that includes cleansing, toning, exfoliating, and moisturizing. To help reduce the appearance of acne scars, you may also want to consider using a product with ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid to help reduce inflammation, promote collagen production, and improve hydration levels. Additionally, you may want to consider using a gentle exfoliating scrub or mask, such as a clay mask, to help remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and brighten skin. Lastly, you may want to consider using a topical spot treatment with ingredients like salicylic acid to help reduce inflammation and break down any remaining acne scarring.

Hello Doctor, I am a 30 year old female and I recently noticed open pores on my face, what should I do? My daily routine is: use himalaya neem face wash, then moisturize skin and I happen to have oily & dull skin. Can you pls suggest what should I do? Thank you!

I would like to start by recommending a daily skincare routine for the problems you are facing. Start with Oil control cleansers with AHA's or BHA's to clear the oil and dirt from your face 2-4 times a day. Use a Vit C serum or day serum in the morning if you are at home and you can add sunscreen on top if you are going to go out and will get exposed to sunlight. Evening, after wash use a toner to neutralize and calm your skin. Before bed, use a coat of moisturizer and additional retinol-based anti-aging serum to finish. If it's a major concern, please contact a dermatologist.

How to take care of oily skin and damaged hairs?? I have been taking medication for TB since June 2020. I have oily skin and additionally pimples too, on my face, hand and back. My face is looks dull and open pores are visible. Color of my body is getting darker day by day. I had grey hair issue so I have used hair color but now my hair is totally damaged. Please suggest something for my problem

The acne has to be treated accordingly as it is appearing in many parts of the body. The acne medications will control excess oil. Tuberculosis treatment may affect your hair as well as skin. I thus urge you to meet a dermatologist nearby and get evaluated for further treatment. Also start using anti-oxidant capsules, they will help a lot.

My son is 4.5 years and is having skin rashes since 1 year, in his knee, back, lower stomach and underarms. We have consulted skin specialist and applied futibact, tacroz and neoaporin ointments, but once we stop futibact the rashes return after a week and increase

The boy seems to have atopic dermatitis also called as atopic eczema. The care is utmost important in his case as the skin is dry and prone to rashes as well as infection. steps should be taken to keep his skin moist at all times. Start by oiling him before bath, use mild cleansers, and apply moisturizers immediately after bath so as to retain water and seal it inside his skin. The flutibact is for immediate reduction of rashes. Start using tacrolimus cream once a week to prevent further rashes. The flutibact is a steroid and antibiotic combination cream, and therefore has to be used judiciously. Please meet a pediatric dermatologist for more information regarding this problem

I am 26 year old female. Having itching on legs which gets red than in few days turn black and dry. They are in patches. I have visited skin clinic also still no effect. As well as on hand near wrist there are small small skin eruption nothing field in it only itching is there but it looks very dirty. So what should be done?

It is possible that you are suffering from a skin condition called eczema. Eczema is a chronic condition that causes the skin to become irritated, red, and itchy. If the itching is severe or does not improve with over-the-counter treatments, you should see a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment. A dermatologist can help diagnose the problem and provide you with the best treatment plan. They may suggest topical steroids, oral medications, light therapy, or other treatments to help control your symptoms.

I am 28years old, female and I am hepB carrier. My dad has undergone liver transplant surgery due to liver cirrhosis and tumour. I checked my HBVDNA and it's quite high in level (in crores) and I have consulted a doctor and he advised me to take antiviral drugs(Tafero800mg-OD) as a preventive measures since my dad suffered from liver cancer. I have taken this medicine for more than 4month and it doesn't bring changes in Dna level counts. So I discontinued my treatment. My all blood reports as well as USG and liver fibroscan is normal but my HbvDna level is still up. My dad has been taking tab.entaliv 0.5mg and it helps my dad's level to come down drastically. Please do prescribed me the best and most effective medicine,Thank you.

• Hepatitis B carriers are persons who carry the hepatitis B virus in their blood but do not experience symptoms. Between 6% and 10% of persons infected with the virus will become carriers and will be able to infect others without knowing it.

• A considerable proportion of chronic hepatitis B (HBV) patients are in the inactive carrier state, which is characterised by normal transaminase levels, limited viral replication, and little liver necroinflammatory activity. After at least one year of frequent monitoring, a diagnosis is made, and lifelong follow-up is required to ensure that this status is maintained.

• In case there is no improvement in HBVDNA levels, consult your expert but do not stop the medication on your own.

• Drugs prescribed such as Tafero (tenofovir) acts by ceasing the production of new viruses, blocks or slows viral proliferation in human cells, and eliminates the infection and also boost the level of CD4 cells (white blood cells that fight infection) in your blood. Entaliv (entecavir) acts by inhibiting the viral replications processes like reverse transcription, DNA replication and transcription.

• Seek the advice of a hepatologist so that your treatment may be adjusted according to your specific needs and preferences.
