Is Lupron Depot a proper birth control treatment?
My doctor is giving me lupron depot for birth control, after doing research I’m concerned because it says not a form of birth control. Is my doctor not giving me the right medication for birth control?

Your apprehension is understandable, but let me clarify: Lupron Depot does serve as birth control. It prevents ovulation by halting egg release from ovaries. Physicians also prescribe it for additional purposes. While the packaging may omit "birth control" labeling, your doctor provided it for contraceptive use. If any doubts persist, consult a gynecologist directly.
