What medicine can I use for my period?

Patient's Query

Which medicine l can use for period??

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

When it comes to managing period pain, there are a few options we can consider. Period pain, also known as dysmenorrhea, can be caused by the uterus contracting to shed its lining. Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or naproxen can help reduce the pain and inflammation. It's important to stay hydrated, maintain a healthy diet, and try using heating pads on your lower abdomen. If the pain is severe and affecting your daily life, it's best to consult with a gynecologist. They can offer further guidance and explore other potential treatment options tailored to your individual needs.

Female | 26

Missed periods with spotting might be signs of pregnancy. Stress, weight fluctuations, hormonal imbalances, or medical conditions also affect the menstrual cycle..Visit to the doctor to evaluate exact cause and treatment

I recently received my AMH test results, and I am quite concerned as the value is 0.2. I am 32 years old, not married, and have no children yet. I’ve also undergone some scans, and the doctors mentioned that I might be heading toward a monotropic cycle, which has raised my anxiety about my fertility. Given my desire to have children in the future, I’m really worried about my low AMH level and would like to know if there are any options available for me to improve this situation and possibly conceive naturally in the future. For your reference, I have a normal BMI, follow a vegetarian diet, exercise regularly, and have no smoking or drinking habits. I would greatly appreciate your advice on what steps I can take to maintain my fertility and whether there are any treatments or lifestyle changes that could help improve my chances of having healthy children. Thank you so much for your time and guidance. Kind regards, Neha

Good evening mam Naku ఈమధ్య నా కు నడుము నొప్పి అలాగే irregular periods వస్తుంటే హాస్పిటల్ కి వెళ్లాను. One extremely important thing to do is to investigate the possible reasons for your periods' absence. Weight gain and feeling thirsty might indicate struggling with various issues, such as chemical imbalances or thyroid problems. There are multiple other excuses for your feelings. I hope you will go to a doctor to check what's what and get the right treatment.

I had unprotected sex almost immediately after my periods ended. (After 2 days). I took unwanted 72 right after the unprotected sex. Is it safe? It's been 18 days since then

Female | 21

Taking Unwanted 72 after unprotected sex can help in case of pregnancy. It might have to be mentioned that young people should take it within 72 hours. Since the usual menstruation time has passed and in the meantime, you've already got your period, the symptoms you may develop are mostly related to the bleeding. Spotting or changes in the menstrual cycle are the main issues after taking the pill.
