Do High TSH Levels Require Treatment?

Patient's Query

Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

Your TSH level is too high which could be an indication of a thyroid problem. High TSH levels may cause symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, fatigue, weight loss, and cold hands and feet. You would need to see an endocrinologist for expert advice and take the medicine they prescribe.

I am a diabetic i take insulin but this 2 weeks i haven't taken my medicen its finished until i buy my insulin what type of food can i eat or what can i do?

Female | 42

When you skip insulin, your blood sugar levels can rise, which isn't good for your health. It's essential to try and maintain stable blood sugar levels. In the meantime, focus on eating a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid sugary and processed foods. Stay hydrated and try to get some light exercise, like walking. But the most crucial step is to get your insulin as soon as you can. It's vital for managing your diabetes effectively.

I have period 14 day but whyy? This is normal?

Female | 17

Among the most general triggers for continuous bleeding are hormonal changes, tension, or else certain body conditions. Signs of the disease might be weakness or discomfort. Remember to observe the rise of any other signs like heavy bleeding or severe pain. In that case, or if it keeps for a long time, I would consult with the doctor first of all. They will provide various ideas and will decide whether further observation is necessary.

Am diabetic since 15 years. BP normal as am taking medication. I take insulin Actrapid 100 u 14-3-10 and toujeo 28-0-0 along with Sitagliptin OD 100. fp sugar 140-160 ,PP 210-220. I feel dizziness in evening between 6 and 7. That time sugar level is 140-160. Is it because sugar variation. If eat something dizziness goes. Is it because of insulin

Male | 73

Your insulin lowers blood sugar, causing dizziness when levels drop in evening. Eating raises blood sugar, helping dizziness. Consume snacks before 6 pm to test if it improves. Persistent dizziness requires discussion with healthcare provider. Small adjustments may make big difference. Frequent monitoring helps regulate sugar fluctuations. Maintaining stable levels prevents dizzy spells. Seeking medical guidance ensures proper care.

Hello , I am 27 years old and i have testosterone value 2.89 ng/mL . And i make exercises fitness 3/4 days in week My question is : Can i take some testosterone ?

Male | 27

At your age, having a level of testosterone at 2.89ng/mL is right where it should be. There are several symptoms associated with lowT which include high fatigue levels, decreased libido, and even mood swings. It might be stress or some medical problems causing it; see a doctor before taking testosterone because if not done properly this could harm your body. If you sustain your exercise routine, eat well-balanced meals daily, and have adequate sleep every night -these activities will help maintain normal levels of this hormone.

I am 55 year old person and having thyroid problem for last few years. I am taking medicine EUTHYROX 25. But I am in doubt with this medicine. Recently I tested my TSH test again, which result is below... T3 - 1.26 ng/mL T4 - 7.66 ug/dL TSH - 4.25 ml/UL (CLIA METHOD) Please suggest correct type of thyroid and medicine. Thanks

Male | 55

Your TSH level is a bit high, which means your thyroid isn’t making enough hormones. This can make you feel tired, gain weight, and be sensitive to the cold. People who have hypothyroidism usually take EUTHYROX 25 -- you might end up needing more or something else entirely. You must talk to your doctor about what all this means so they can help come up with a plan that will work best for you.

Androgens and Testosterone Hormones Are the Same ?? In women If androgen is high then it means testosterone will also be high ??? If androgens are controlled then testosterone will also be controlled. ??? In girls ? Mera 25 % zyda ha testosterone

Female | 23

Androgens, including testosterone, are indeed related hormones, but they are not identical. Elevated androgen levels can indicate higher testosterone levels, but not always. In women, high testosterone might lead to symptoms like irregular periods, acne, or excessive hair growth. Conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can cause this imbalance. Managing androgen levels through lifestyle changes or medical treatment can help regulate testosterone. It's advisable to consult a healthcare professional to assess your situation, get an accurate diagnosis, and explore appropriate treatment options tailored for you.

My estrogen and progesterone are high

Female | 30

High estrogen and progesterone levels can be due to various factors like hormone therapy, certain medications, or even conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It's essential to follow up with your gynecologist for further evaluation to determine the underlying cause. In the meantime, focusing on a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management techniques can help support hormone regulation.

I'm very skinny. I eat a lot but still I don't gain any weight

Male | 16

One potential reason is that you have a fast metabolism. Your body burns through calories very quickly, which can make it difficult for some people to gain weight. Other potential causes may include hyperthyroidism or problems with malabsorption. You should consult with a dietitian or nutritionist who will assist in creating a meal plan that helps increase your calorie intake healthily.

Suddenly I found my sugar level is 33 I feel very bad.. What should I do now. Its urgent

Male | 32

A sugar level of 33 is dangerously low. Symptoms like shakiness, dizziness, sweatiness, and confusion occur. This happens when insulin dosages are high or food intake is insufficient. The immediate fix is consuming sugary items like juice, soda, or candy. These quickly raise blood sugar levels. After that, eat protein-rich snacks to stabilize it. Discussing this episode with your doctor is crucial.
