Hello, I have the below questions. 1. No doubt the bald spot would be filled with the new follicles or the layer of the scalp itself (if I have understood correctly) and these methods claim to regrow the hair in the same way as it was naturally happening but what if the reasons because of which the sufferer had hair loss continues to be the same? Isn't it obvious that the patient may lose the hair soon again as he is not told about why he was losing the hair? 2. FUT and FUE methods are the options given to the patient to choose or it is decided by the Dermatologist depending on the patient's hair fall pattern? 3. For me there has been continuous hair fall since from 1. 5 years and now it has resulted in creating small bald spots but I too won't be able to make out that there are bald spots unless I have a close look but these are becoming bigger day by day! So, now my question is, which is the right time to get the transplant done? Should I wait until a constant bald spot is formed? Otherwise, it shouldn't become like I fill the bald spots with hair transplant today and the remaining hair falls after some time or it also may happen that the transplant was done by an unprofessional and the transplanted hair falls and the doctor starts to say that the transplanted hair is there but your other hairs have fallen down and I need to undergo another transplant! 4. Since from the time I felt that my hairs are falling I am having a constant irritation with light pain in the same spots, it is not continuous but appears after I have had a busy day or just a busy hour! And also there have been continuous problems because of dandruff in the same course of time! Is that also a symptom or it is just a coincidence with the hair fall as my work takes a lot of my head to get it done?

Hello, I tried to answer your questions below:

  1. Your transplanted hair will not fall again as it does not have a receptor for DHT hormones. Whereas, other hair which has Alfa receptor can fall down in future.
  2. You can choose any method. Sometimes it depends on your health conditions like diabetes, etc. Also, sometimes after your scalp test, the doctor himself will suggest you the method which is suitable for you.
  3. For this, we would suggest you visit the nearest dermatologist in Bangalore as soon as possible so that the doctor could consult you and check whether you have normal baldness or other issues like alopecia areata, etc. You can get hair transplant done on the bald area. Also, for other hair control, the DHT hormone will be under doctor's supervision. Further, get the hair transplant done by an experienced surgeon so that your hair transplant doesn't fail.
  4. Again, for the symptoms, you need to get yourself consulted properly from the doctor. Only after your physical examination, the doctor will be able to suggest anything further. Hope our answer helps you.

Hi, I have type 4 baldness and in the next 3 months, my marriage is fixed. Which is the best treatment for transplantation or PRP?

Hello, As you have mentioned that you have type 4 baldness, hair transplant is the solution. But we advise you not to undergo a hair transplant at this stage because for performing the procedure your head will be shaved, after the surgery within a month the transplanted hair will fall off and it will take 3 months for the hair to start growing naturally. It takes 12 months for the hair to grow fully. We would suggest that you visit the trichologist and find some temporary solution for your baldness problem. You can undergo the hair transplant treatment after your marriage. Hope our answer helps you. For trichologist you can refer our page: Trichologists in Mumbai. And for Hair transplant specialist you can refer this page - Hair Transplant in Mumbai. Let us know if your city is different or if you have any other concern that is bugging you.

Hi, I am 21 years old and facing a hair loss problem for the past 4 years. My level of baldness is grade 4, which treatment will be effective for me?

Hello, It is very scaring that you have started losing hair at such an early age of 21 years. We would suggest that you immediately consult trichologist who can help you reach the root cause of your hair fall problem and can further guide you. As you have mentioned that you have grade 4 baldness the best and most effective treatment will be hair transplant. Further, the doctor might suggest you FUE technique as it is the most advanced technique and is widely used, or other techniques like FUT, Robotic, DHI or PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy (PRP therapy can be combined with other hair transplant techniques). Kindly start out with a trichologist as soon as possible - Trichologists in Bangalore, their assistance would be limited to topical medical treatments, and with your grade of hair loss you may require treatment from a hair transplant specialist eventually, if at all topical treatments don't help - Hair Transplant Surgery doctors in Bangalore.

Which method useful for hair transplantation to get best result?

Hello Akshay,

  • There are various methods for a hair transplant which gives positive results, such as:
  1. FUE Hair Transplant
  2. FUT Hair Transplant
  3. Robotic Hair Transplant
  4. DHI Transplant
You can read more about hair transplant surgery and hair transplant price, on our blog - Cost of Hair Transplant in India.

  • FUE is one of the hair transplant methods to get the best hair transplant result. To undergo a FUE hair transplant successfully, your hair transplant surgeon should be very skilled. In FUE hair transplant:
  1. The surgeon will extract hair follicles from the back of your scalp. These hair follicles will be dissected under the stereomicroscope.
  2. The dissected follicular graft units will be transplanted into the bald area of your scalp. FUE gives a high density of transplanted hair and natural looking hairline. It does not leave any visible scar on your scalp.
  3. The recovery time after the surgery is very less i.e., you can return to work in 5-7 days after the surgery. Your surgeon will advise you about post care of your scalp. To know about FUE hair transplant in depth, you can visit our blog - FUE hair transplant.

But before deciding the method of hair transplant, your doctor will examine your scalp. He will suggest the best hair transplant method suited for you depending upon the level of your baldness. We hope this answer helps you. You can also visit our page to find more surgeons - Hair Transplant Surgeons in India.

Hi, I'm a 17-year-old teenager and I have started balding, my doctors say it's because it's in my genes. I'm currently residing in London. I plan to get a hair transplant in the next few months in Pune (hometown). I am Experiencing Level 1 or Level 2 baldness. Could you please suggest to me any good clinics and how long does a treatment usually take so that I can plan my trip accordingly?

Hello,

  • Basically, the ideal age for hair transplant in India is 25 years and above. As you are still 17 years old, it is not advisable to undergo a hair transplant. The pattern of hair loss becomes stable at the age of 25.

  • As you have stated, you are facing hereditary hair loss which occurs when you have inherited a gene of pattern hair loss from either of your parents. Also, as you mentioned that the level of your baldness is 1 or 2, so if you undergo hair transplant surgery right now, it is highly possible that you may face hair loss again. In addition, for the baldness level of 1 or 2, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is the best therapy, which is a non-surgical treatment for hair loss.

  • Also, 1 session of hair transplant is needed for the baldness of level 2. But, after examining your scalp and hair, the doctor will suggest the best-suited treatment of hair loss to you.
