Hi, I'm a 17-year-old teenager and I have started balding, my doctors say it's because it's in my genes. I'm currently residing in London. I plan to get a hair transplant in the next few months in Pune (hometown). I am Experiencing Level 1 or Level 2 baldness. - Basically, the ideal age for hair transplant in India is 25 years and above. As you are still 17 years old, it is not advisable to undergo a hair transplant. The pattern of hair loss becomes stable at the age of 25.
- As you have stated, you are facing hereditary hair loss which occurs when you have inherited a gene of pattern hair loss from either of your parents. Also, as you mentioned that the level of your baldness is 1 or 2, so if you undergo hair transplant surgery right now, it is highly possible that you may face hair loss again. In addition, for the baldness level of 1 or 2, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is the best therapy, which is a non-surgical treatment for hair loss.
- Also, 1 session of hair transplant is needed for the baldness of level 2. But, after examining your scalp and hair, the doctor will suggest the best-suited treatment of hair loss to you.
