Transmission of hepatitis C may involve contact with infected blood and/or sharps such as needles. Even if the needle does not have any water therein, the stick and pokes use can still result in viral infections. It will be good to see a hepatologist or a gastroenterologist if you have reason to think your chances of Hepatitis C are high.
