I misread numbers a lot, for example I had to do an essay of 2000 words I clearly saw 2000 but days later I heard it was 1000 and I went to check it again and it was seriously 1000. And whenever I see on my laptop huge paragraphs all over my screen, my eyes feel weird like I cant focus or something. Is it normal?
Female | 19
You could have an eye issue called asthenopia. It happens when your eyes get tired from reading words or screens for too long. Some reasons are looking at screens for hours or using the wrong glasses. To help, take breaks often, adjust the lighting, and maybe get an eye exam for new glasses.

What is a sleep stroke?
Female | 30
There is no medical condition specifically referred to as a "sleep stroke." However, strokes can occur at any time, including during sleep. A stroke happens when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, either due to a blocked blood vessel (ischemic stroke) or bleeding in the brain (hemorrhagic stroke). The risk factors for stroke include hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and other cardiovascular conditions. If someone experiences symptoms like sudden numbness, confusion, trouble speaking, or severe headache, even during sleep, immediate medical attention is crucial.

The headaches have arisen regularly and are usually relieved by painkillers. They are characterized by stress, lack of sleep, or a bad posture, and therefore are often the case. If Excedrin hasn't provided relief for your hormonal migraines, it's best not to take naproxen sumatriptan without consulting a doctor. Combining medications without guidance can be harmful. My left hand is numb and sometimes have a tingling feeling, before it was from finger tips to wrists but it extended till elbows. I consulted a doc and he said that there is no sign of nerve injury as there is sweat in my hand. He said that if there is a nerve problem my hand will not sweat. He also said that it maybe because i may have it some bone or nerve unknowingly, and did not prescribe any medication. However the numbness is still there for nearly 2 days and it has extended till my shoulder joint. I have no feeling in my left hand. No pain no sense no feeling.
Male | 17
You’re having a health issue in your left hand, as notice of the deadness is still staying up to your shoulder. This might result from a compressed nerve or issues in your neck or shoulder. It is essential to make a doctor’s condition, request these tests, and do imaging tests such as MRI. Do not put off these symptoms.

I’m taking one time dosage of 200mg of doxycycline as pep for possible exposure to sti. Iv heard that doxycycline causes cranial hypertension How likely is that to happen to me from one dosage
Male | 26
It is not very likely to get intracranial high blood pressure from a single 200mg dose of doxycycline. Intracranial high blood pressure is an uncommon side effect that may lead to headaches, changes in vision, and nausea. Adequate hydration can help in its prevention. Don’t forget to follow your provider’s instructions when taking this medicine and inform them about any worries you might have.

HI I am worried about my forgetfullness, I am 20 years old and forgot a password yesterday that I have been doing at list 6 times a week for the past 2 years and today I was sure I brought my bag with me, but it ended up being at home, but I am convinced I took it with me. Is it dangerous that I am forgetting things?
Female | 20
It's normal to misplace or forget things sometimes especially when life gets busy or when you are feeling overwhelmed by the things to do. Forgetting a password or misplacing your bag occasionally is usually nothing to worry about at your age. Get enough sleep, eat healthily, and manage stress to help boost memory. If you're unsure, consider keeping a task list ready or utilizing the reminders on your phone to keep you structured. But if you have worries, getting in touch with a healthcare provider is a great alternative to get yourself tested and put your mind at ease.

My baby was diagnosed with cp still waiting for MRI scan so I want stem therapy for her
Female | 2
CP could result from an injury to the brain before, during or after birth. Indications could be difficulty moving around, rigid muscles and lack of coordination. Although stem cell therapy is still under study, there is no enough evidence supporting its use in CP cases. Treatment plan should be guided by the results of an MRI scan. Let us wait for the scan and then we can talk about what to do next.

Doctor I am a male of 45 year from Africa i feel this heaviness (dizziness) in the head and fatigue whenever i walk a little distance or engage in strenous work. I did ECG and ECHO2D tests. The doctor said nothing was wrong with my heart . I check my BP regularly. I am not hypertensive. I engage in regular fitness exercise . Yet this heaviness in the head and tiredness doesn't want to stop. I need your urgent reply. Pat.
Male | 45
It’s good that you’ve ruled out heart issues and hypertension. However, the persistent heaviness in the head and fatigue could be related to other causes such as anemia, thyroid issues, or even stress and anxiety. I would recommend visiting an internal medicine specialist or a neurologist for a thorough evaluation to pinpoint the cause and get appropriate treatment.
