Why is my period late with stomach pain?

Patient's Query

My last period date is 6 oct and on 13th oct I was sexually active and now periods is not coming yet but little bit abdomen stomach is paining so what can I do ?

Answered by Dr. Himali Patel

The abdominal pain you're feeling could be due to a variety of reasons, like hormonal changes, stress, or even implantation if pregnancy is a possibility. It's important to take a deep breath and not worry too much just yet. Take a home pregnancy test to rule that out. If it's negative and your period still hasn't arrived in a week or so, it would be a good idea to see a gynecologist for further evaluation.

I done blood test and anti-hbs is positive what does it mean?

Male | 24

If your blood test shows that anti-HBs is positive, it means that you have antibodies against the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). This result indicates that you are either immune to hepatitis B or have been successfully vaccinated against the virus.

MY child is having stomach ahe and scanned US. it is saying urinal bladder infection. He voimtted in morning and now saying head ache

Male | 4

Stomach aches, headaches, and vomiting are all common indications of various types of problems, including an infection in the bladder. This disease, usually prompted by bacteria, can cause symptoms such as stomach pain and gastro. Keep track of your child’s water intake and let him/her get some rest. Among other things, remember that you can use non-prescribed drugs if it helps but, always, first consult a gastroenterologist.

I got a swallowing bump at the top of my butox what can I do to make it go down

Male | 38

I would suggest that you see a gastroenterologist who will give you the right medical help and care. A lump at the top of your buttocks that's more difficult to swallow could suggest any condition, including a perianal abscess or a pilonidal cyst.

I am 18 year old female. Every morning while pooping I get a normal (not solid) bowel followed by loose stools like diarrhea , every morning after waking up I feel a huge urge to poop and then within 10 minutes a lot of poop comes out of my body and its normal one (although it is not solids) it seems like i am done but then very loose stool starts coming in very small amounts for which I have to strain and I end up with 50 minutes in toilet but that loose stool never gets out completely , its been more than an year now.

You have a problem with a condition called irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The sure signs of IBS are the combination of constipation and diarrhea, in addition to often urgent bowel movements. It may be instigated by stress, some foods, or hormonal changes. For IBS to be controlled, it is important to eat a balanced diet, to drink enough water, to control stress, and to use medications if necessary.

I'm worried about my 40-year-old sister who had gastric bypass surgery. Can you provide insights into what to expect or look out for in terms of health issues and care 15 years after gastric bypass?

Female | 40

After gastric bypass surgery, it is necessary to monitor the condition of your sister. She might develop complications like malnutrition, dumping syndrome and hernias. It is advisable to see a gastroenterologist who practices bariatric surgery for regular appointments and tips on healthy living.
