Why is my postpartum bleeding irregular after C-section?

Patient's Query

I have my C-section before 2 months i competed My postpartum period and tomorrow again i have bleeding then i wait for 7 days and then i take shower after that 15 days i have no periods and then again started but this time the blood flow is very fast at morning time

Answered by Dr. Nisarg Patel

After having a C-section, it's normal for your menstrual cycle to take some time to regulate. The irregular bleeding you're experiencing could be due to hormonal changes or even the healing process from your surgery. In fact, the heavy flow in the morning may just be a natural variation in your cycle. It's essential to keep track of these changes. I recommend you stay hydrated, get plenty of rest, and if the bleeding continues to be heavy or persistent, it's best to consult with your gynecologist for a thorough evaluation.

My sister is 6 month of pregnancy. In her echo cardiograph test, report found umbilical portal systemic veins shunt. What should I do?? How much it is serious.

Female | 27

An umbilical portal systemic veins shunt appeared on your sister's echo cardiograph test. This condition affects blood flow in the baby's body, potentially leading to encephalopathy - a problem causing developmental delays. Speaking to a pediatric heart specialist is crucial. They may advise close monitoring during pregnancy and after birth, ensuring the best outcome for your sister and the baby. Early detection and proper management significantly impact the situation.

I am 18 year girl. I am on my period but my period flow is very less. It's 3rd day but today no bleeding.I am very worried. I also take iron supplement from tomorrow. Am I pregnant?

Female | 18

Sometimes, a light period or no bleeding at all on the third day could occur due to several reasons not related to pregnancy. Stress, changes in lifestyle, or hormonal changes can be some of the factors. A pregnancy test would be the best way to know if you are worried about being pregnant.

Maine sex kiya periods ke 4th day pe uske dusre din hi maine unwanted 72 pills khayi 24hrs hone se pehle par mujhe periods nhi aaye abhi tak kahin mai pregnant toh nhi ho jaungi?

Female | 18

The main function of this pill is to prevent or delay the ovulation process. At times, it might cause changes in your menstrual cycle and hence, give you a period before or after the time predicted. If you do not have your period within a week of the date it was due, it would be good that you take a pregnancy test just to be safe.
