Questions & Answers on "Cancer" (374)
I am 35 years old female and my stomach was bloated for 2 days then I consulted doctor who gave drips then told for a ct scan then they told its cancer other told its all spread and its stage 4 many told us not to get biopsy as it will make it more spread now the report came that cea is 0.5 and ldh is 276
Female | 35
Bloating can arise from various factors, including digestive issues or hormonal changes. The elevated LDH and the CEA levels are significant, but it's crucial to interpret these in the context of your overall health and symptoms. Consult your physician for a comprehensive evaluation and discuss the necessity of a biopsy based on your specific situation. It's essential to have a supportive team guiding your care. Remember, communication with your healthcare provider is key to navigating this journey effectively.

I’m female, 17years old. I found that there is a lump in my left armpit, it has been there fro about two years. It doesn’t hurt when untouched but can hurt alittle tiny bit when pressed on or squshed. What is it? Cancer?
Female | 17
I would suggest that you consult medical expert in the field of breast health or oncology for further diagnostics. There may be a swollen lymph node, an infection or benign growth in your left armpit and these all should not have malignancy. Don’t wait and visit your doctor immediately.

My friend is going through cancer treatment. But the thing is, although her side-effects are decreasing there is no sign of cancer going away. Can you tell me if immunotherapy can help her? She is battling Prostate cancer and it's been 3 months now since she was diagnosed.

invasive well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma is found is biopsy what should I want to do please guide me
Male | 38
Well-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma is a skin cancer type. It may look like a rough spot, scaly growth, or sore that won't heal. Too much sun causes it. Oncologists treat it by removing with surgery, freezing it, or using radiation. Spotting it early is key, so watch your skin and see a dermatologist if you notice changes.

Female | 50 to 55
Gallbladder cancer, especially one that has spread, can lead to severe discomfort and symptoms like abdominal pain, jaundice, or weight loss. The treatment methods could be quite different, but they commonly involve chemotherapy, targeted therapies, or palliative care to minimize the symptoms and increase the patient's quality of life. One must be acquainted with an oncologist who has a specialization in this area. They can plan her course of treatment according to her condition and needs.

Hello, I'm 48 yrs old male, diagnosed with AML in August 2020, underwent intense chemo. Achieved remission after cycle1. After 4 cycles of chemo in april 2021, I was advised to take preventive chemo thats milder (Azacitidine for 12 cycles). This chemo started in May 2021 until Nov 2022. Now I have achieved complete remission & stopped all treatment. what are my chances here, is there a likelihood of relapse, if yes should I take any preventive steps like ayurveda etc. I dont have prior history of smoking or drinking, have maintained healthy diet all along
Male | 48
Remission from treatment is wonderful news. Your relapse chances vary but maintaining a healthy lifestyle remains vital. AML relapse risk exists, as it's a complex cancer. Ayurvedic therapies support wellbeing, but regular medical follow-ups catch relapses early. Keep doing what you're doing, and stay connected with your care team.
