Hello Dr. Puri, I got an injury on my upper nose between eyes 2 weeks back, while playing badminton doubles. I am facing some hardness and swelling between right eye and nose. Request appointment with you.
Male | 51
The swelling and firmness you are having might be due to the soft tissue damage or inflammation due to the trauma. It is necessary to be cautious about these symptoms, as they might last for some weeks. To promote adequate healing and eliminate any unknown issues, I advise you to make an appointment for an extensive assessment.

Dry throat is a condition that can be caused by several factors such as dehydration, infections, or even side effects of medications. You should be glad to know that your proactive approach has already been able to help you. To alleviate your dry throat try drinking more water, using humidifiers, and sucking on lozenges. My 6yrs old daughter inserted a piece of rubber-eraser on both ears she's complaining of pain in one of the ears, kindly give me a remedy for this.
Female | 6
This can happen if objects are pushed too far into the ear canal. The ear with the pain might have the object lodged deeper or be more sensitive. It's important not to try to remove it yourself as that can lead to further complications. Please take her to an ENT specialist. They will be able to see the ear properly using special tools and safely remove the trapped object.

I am a 22 year old female. I have had this for 4 days now. Saturday morning I woke up feeling feverish and a sore throat, it was red and looked very inflamed. I went to the pharmacy and bought immune booster and Ibupain Forte for the pain. I have had body aches, chills, headaches and feelings of fever for 2 days after Monday morning I throat was painful and had difficulty swallowing and I could feel it was my tonsils, they looked red, inflamed and had white patches on them. Tuesday morning, I went to the clinic at pharmacy and they gave me amoxicillin and pain meds for the pain. I feel much better now however my voice is gone.
Female | 22
The symptoms you have mentioned suggest a throat infection which is most probably of bacterial origin. The white patches seen on your tonsils are another hallmark of this condition. Amoxicillin is a good step as it is the medication prescribed by the clinic that helps deal with the infection. It is vital to finish the entire course of antibiotics, which you are taking even if you feel better. Your lost voice will probably go back to normal as you continue to heal. Ensure that you get enough rest, drink plenty of water, and stick to the medication directions. If your symptoms stay or get worse, it's a good idea to have a follow-up with an ENT specialist.

Left year loss hearing. Chakker atey h
महिला | 73
The hearing loss could be due to various reasons - from something as simple as earwax buildup to more complex issues like an ear infection or even problems with the inner ear. Feeling dizzy or having "chakker" could also be related to the ear problem or other factors like low blood pressure. I recommend you see a doctor for a proper evaluation. In the meantime, try to avoid sudden head movements, stay hydrated, and rest well.

Male | 18
You may have an acute tonsillitis infection. When the tonsils become infected with viruses or bacteria this frequently occurs. The fever and headache you experienced are common symptoms of this condition. Since taking medication has not helped, it is necessary to get a proper diagnosis from an ENT specialist. This will enable them to prescribe stronger antibiotics which should make you feel well. Do not forget to drink plenty of water and have enough bed rest.

Female | 28
Many people notice a watery discharge and worry it might be cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), but it’s not always the case. Sometimes, blowing your nose can cause this. Keep an eye on any new symptoms or changes, and if you're concerned, it's best to see an ENT specialist for a check-up.

I have glandular fever and was wondering if I should go into hospital or if there’s anything I can do to lessen the symptoms as my tonsils are very swollen and it hurts to talk and swallow my saliva as well as eat and drink
Female | 17
Glandular fever, also known as infectious mononucleosis, could be causing your symptoms. This viral illness makes tonsils swell and hurt badly. You may have a sore throat, swollen glands, and feel exhausted. To ease discomfort, rest well, drink plenty of fluids, and take pain medication if needed. If swallowing is difficult, eat soft foods and avoid rough or spicy items. Consult an ENT doctor if symptoms worsen.

You may be dealing with an ear infection. The germs, whether they are bacteria or viruses, infect your ear and cause a lot of pain, swelling, and even a sensation of blockage in your ear. Sometimes the pain may also radiate to your jaw and neck. Consulting an ENT specialist will enable you to obtain the correct treatment, primarily antibiotics for the infection.

Male | 35
An aching throat that extends toward your left ear may indicate that you have infected ears or a sore throat. You might have the feeling that your throat is scratchy and it could be painful to swallow. At times, even when chewing or talking the pain may worsen. To relieve your throat, take warm liquids such as tea and water. If this condition persists or becomes severe, visit an ENT specialist.

My nasal allergy flares up every few days and it irritates me 24 hours a day. Taking setzine tablets makes it go away. But I want it to go away permanently. So what should I do?
Male | 36
It's great that Setzine is helping you manage your symptoms, but for a more permanent solution, it's important to identify and avoid the triggers causing your nasal allergy. You might benefit from consulting an ENT specialist who can assess your condition, suggest allergy testing, and recommend appropriate treatments like immunotherapy or lifestyle changes.

My uvula has elongated into my throat after I woke up from sleep this morning about 2hrs ago. It's making swallowing a bit unconfortable. My breathing is fine for now and it's not painful for now. I've gargled with salty warm water.
Male | 29
Concerns about an elongated uvula are understandable and can be caused by factors such as dehydration, allergies, or inflammation. Considering you are merely feeling a little weirdness while swallowing but breathing is okay, it may not be a life-threatening event. Saltwater gargling is the first step to getting relief. Alongside that, drinking water is just as important. When things get worse, or you face such a problem as shortness of breath, and increased pain, please consult an ENT specialist.

Your stuffy nose and lump point to an infection. Viruses, and bacteria, get in your nose, leading to these symptoms. Pain or swelling could accompany it too. Stay hydrated, get some rest, and use saline spray - this might help clear things up. But if it sticks around, you may need to talk to an ENT specialist.
