How can I heal an anal tear naturally?

Patient's Query

26-year-old woman presenting with anal tear. Symptoms: burning, tearing, and pain during and after bowel movements. History of constipation and passing hard stools. Duration: 20 days. No bleeding noted. Affects daily activities (sitting, working, sleeping). First occurrence; no similar past episodes. Additional concerns include how to heal the tear and prevent infection.

Answered by Dr. Samrat Jankar

An anal tear, also known as a fissure, can indeed cause a lot of pain and disruption in your daily life. It can happen due to passing hard stools, which may have been a result of your constipation. To help with the healing process and prevent infection, try soaking in warm water baths, keeping the area clean and dry, and consuming plenty of fiber to soften your stool. If these measures don't bring relief, it's best to schedule an appointment with gastroenterologist so that he can evaluate the situation and give proper treatment.

Male | 35

You might have an H. pylori infection. This bacteria can cause stomach pain, make your belly feel uncomfortable, and even cause a heavy head or cold sweats after meals. It can also lead to stomach ulcers. The good news is that it can be treated with a combination of antibiotics and acid-relief medication. Be sure to follow your doctor’s instructions and complete the full course of treatment to fully eliminate the bacteria. y.

You may have a condition called food allergies. It is a case of the body reacting overly to some food items. Symptoms can be a painful stomach rash and a soft stool. Keeping a food diary is the best way to identify the specific food is causing the reaction. The food to be avoided is the one you already know as the trigger. The result of this is symptom disappearance and no more loss of mass.

Rectal prolapse happens when the rectum protrudes through the anus due to weakened muscles or ligaments. It's tough when treatments like medications and therapies don't seem to help. In cases like this, surgery may be necessary to repair the prolapse. I'd recommend seeking out a colorectal surgeon who specializes in this area. They can review his reports and provide a tailored treatment plan.

Indigestion vomiting stomach pain

Female | 7

You may be suffering from indigestion. It may also bring forth nausea and stomach ache. This condition occurs due to an upset stomach and overeating or consuming too spicy dishes. To remedy this, eat small meals slowly, avoid spicy foods, and refrain from lying down right after eating. You might also find that drinking ginger tea soothes your stomach.

Hii.. My father had done Bypass Surgery on 4th December 2021.But from today evening he is suffering from severe Gas and Acidity. Please help what to do..??

Male | 56

There could be many reasons for gas and acidity after bypass surgery, including diet changes, stress, medications, or surgery itself. Some of the symptoms can be bloating, burping, and heartburn. It is important that you advise him to take smaller meals, steer clear of spicy foods, stay upright after eating and ensure he takes sufficient water. In case none of this seems to help then do not hesitate to contact his physician immediately.

I’m 21 I had a beer a Long Island alcoholic drink and a slurpee alcoholic drink and after 12 hours I took exedrin 250mg of acetaminophen will I be okay?

Male | 21

Pairing up acetaminophen and alcohol can have dire consequences, you know. Such a combination might hinder the body's processing of acetaminophen. Eventually, you may end up suffering from liver complications, thanks to alcohol. Puking, headaches, and stomach pains are what you should watch out for if you suspect an overdose.
