In the prognosis of a bone marrow transplant, there is quite variability dependent upon several factors such as condition being treated , patient’s health and success rate. Many patients survive for many years after the transplant, with some seeing it as possibly curative. Regular follow-up care with a transplant specialist is essential in order to monitor for complications and provide the appropriate ongoing management. These specialists can provide the most precise prognosis due to individual conditions and recent innovations in treatment. Post transplant, it is imperative to have regular medical care and monitoring of health.

According to research, you can live for approximately 5 years. The patients who have completed 5 years of survival without any sign or symptoms can expect survival of further 15 years.
