Why am I dizzy and nauseous with headache?

Patient's Query

I am 13 year old female and I have a headache and nausea. It started in the evening I cried after that I felt dizzy. I slept and when I woke up I was dizzy and nauseous. Do you know why it is like that?

Answered by Dr. Gurneet Sawhney

Feeling headaches and nausea could be from several reasons. You might get this when you’re very upset or stressed because you’ve been crying a lot. Being lightheaded might also make someone feel like throwing up. Perhaps you twisted oddly in sleep or didn’t have enough to drink yesterday. Try lying down in a quiet room for some time; have a glassful of water and eat something small if possible.

I survived Wernicke Korsakoff with minimal damage. Is it true that I only have 8 years to live?

Female | 53

It's great to hear that you got through Wernicke-Korsakoff with minimal issues. Don't worry; you're not limited to just 8 years. Wernicke-Korsakoff affects memory and brain function, causing symptoms like confusion, vision problems, and walking difficulties, usually due to a Vitamin B1 deficiency. Treatment includes B1 supplements and a nutritious diet. With proper care, you can live a long, healthy life.

i am having pansinusitis since two months which is conformed by neurologist by MRI scan. It started by headache. Neurologist consulted me a 15 days course of medicine. But in between the course I felt serious issue with breathing problem during midnight and my parents rushed me to a pulmonologist. he gave me few medicines and took a ECG. The issue was temporarily resolved that night but pulmonologist asked me to consult a ENT doctor and asked me to take chest X-Ray and a CT scan. My parents feared to take scan because I may have hormonal issues by taking scans (I am 17 Years old). So they stopped the course suggested by Neurologist which has still 3 days left and consulted me to a homeopathy doctor. He gave me a course of 15 days medicines. during the starting of course I didn't feel headache but from 1 week I am facing a severe headache. Its been 5 months, post stroke treatment, urinary incontinence, not feeling of hunger

Male | 59

After someone has had a stroke, they may not be able to control their bladder and bowel movements. This can result in them wetting or soiling themselves accidentally. One of the reasons for this is that the brain may not be sending the right signals for feeling hungry either. The problem could also be due to damage from the stroke affecting this part of the brain. It would therefore help if you talked with your doctor about it. They could think of ways to help you such as through exercises or drugs.
