Can Cold Weather Cause Migraine Pain?

Patient's Query

Having migrane pain due to cold

Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

Changes in temperature, especially extreme cold, can trigger migraines in some people. When you're exposed to cold, it can cause blood vessels in your head to constrict and then suddenly dilate, leading to that throbbing headache. To help with this, try to stay warm by wearing layers, especially something to cover your head and ears. Also, staying hydrated and managing stress can make a big difference. If the pain persists or gets worse, it's a good idea to check in with a physician to explore other treatment options.

Hello My grandpa suffered a stroke this morning can you guys tell me more about it I really need to hear professional opinion besides the doctors at the clinic

Male | 73

A stroke is a serious disorder occurring when the brain's blood supply is insufficient because of either a blockage or a rupture. There are several symptoms, some of the most known and widespread of which are muscle weakness on one side of the body, difficulty with speech, and appearing to be very confused. Rapid medical intervention is mandatory to prevent further progressive destruction. Doctors should administer medications or therapies to enhance the patient's healing process.

I have cervical spondylitis since past 6 months. Doctor prescribed many medicines. But i have headache and itching in head. i feel something crawling in my head and scalp itches too. Now i feel pain in my neck and left hand and heaviness in left side in 2 fingers. I also had physiotherapy for 10 days. I have my MRI report too.

Female | 54

It sounds like you may have a neurological condition in addition to cervical spondylitis. Headache, itching, crawling sensation on scalp, and pain in the neck and hand are all common symptoms of a neurological condition. It would be best for you to see a neurologist for further evaluation and treatment. The MRI report may provide some insight into what is causing your symptoms, but it is unlikely to be the only factor. The neurologist may recommend further tests, such as an EEG or nerve conduction studies, to pinpoint the source of your symptoms. In the meantime, it may be beneficial for you to continue with the physiotherapy and take any medications prescribed by your doctor.

What happens if someone eats 6 pills of neurobion forte tablets.

Female | 37

Taking 6 neurobion forte pills in one go may seem harmless but actually can prove dangerous. It is possible for the person to experience stomach pain, vomiting, and dizziness after inhaling this drug. This is due to the body becoming overloaded with certain nutrients. In this case, you should drink a lot of water, rest, and consume light foods. It's crucial not to exceed the dosage prescribed by your doctor. If the situation worsens, get in touch with a doctor.

‎I am a 22-year-old medical student with a history of OCD. Currently, I suspect an inadequate blood supply to my brain. I experience irritable sensations within my skull that eases when I put candy or chew sugary chocolate in my mouth. Deep breaths also momentarily eased the situation all the time I took them. These sensations, which generally ensue when I put the brain to work, are at times accompanied by tinnitus. Verbal communication is enough brain work to trigger these. Also, these symptoms never disappear after casual meals unless I eat till my stomach stretches. I have had multiple cases of gastroesophageal reflux. These sensations have also manifested post-sleep even though I had eaten till stomach stretch just before sleeping in some of the cases. As pertaining academics and cognitive ability, my cognitive ability decreases with the onset of these sensations. I probably experienced pain in some instances inside my head when trying hard to reason, bring to memory or execute motor functions in a way I could do in the past. My academics has gone downhill - I used to be a top student but I just finished my resit exams Could I get a diagnosis? I currently do not use any medication ‎

Doctor, the patient has cerebral palsy dystonia. Is steam cell treatment better ordeep brain stimulation beneficial for him, Because deep brain stimulation is beneficial for Parkinson’s patients only, and its success rate is high because it is primary dystonia and he has secondary dystonia. Thank you very much.

Male | 28

In this case, deep brain stimulation may not be the best choice since it's typically used for Parkinson's disease. Stem cell therapy that replaces damaged cells instead could be one of the ways to do it. Cerebral palsy dystonia can cause muscle stiffness or uncontrollable movements. Always consult with a doctor to explore suitable options.
