I have learned about your institution from my relative. My relative suggested to inform the problem of my wife to your end through mail. My wife Swati Laha aged about 32 yrs was admitted at local hospital at Kolkata for elective LSCS on 14.02.19. Mild pulmonary arterial hypertension." detected. The elective LSCS was done under general anaesthesia on 14.02.19 and female baby delivered. The age of my baby is about two months. In this circumstance,I am in dilemma what to do right now.I am therefore requesting you to kindly guide/ give your valuable suggestion for taking corrective measure of my problem as per ECG/ Echocardiography report. Kindly enlighten me on following quaries. 1. Is it possible to recover without any surgery. If not, 2.What type of surgery need for 3.Is there need of any kind of test before surgery. 4.What would be the best time for her for surgery as my baby is only 2 months and she was operated on 14.02.19 5.How many days will it be taken to recover after surgery 6.kindly let me know the risk factor of different type of surgery for her problem.

Hello, Looking at your wife's condition we are of the opinion that she has a 20 mm ostium secundum atrial defect. The good news is, that having a 20mm ASD is not an emergency case. The treatment can be postponed for 3 to 6 months.

There are basically 2 types of procedures for ASD Closure:

  • Surgical
  • Device closure

In case of device closure, you can discharge the patient in 2 days and this treatment is done by using a small needle that passes through the groin. In this type of treatment, the patient can resume her daily activities immediately post-treatment. Surgical closure is done in patients who are unfit for device closure. Hope this answers your query. You can consult cardiologists for second opinions - Cardiologist in India.

Good afternoon respected Sir / Ma’am I am 34 years old woman and tend to see that my pulse rate increases and holds for maximum 2-3 minutes and I come back to normal But Yesterday the same thing happened but the pulse was very rapid for over 15 to 20 minutes and had breathlessness also Kindly suggest what should I do

Female | 34

It is possible that the rapid pulse and breathlessness could be symptoms of an underlying medical condition. Consult a cardiologist to determine the cause and the appropriate treatment. Some tests like ECG or a stress test may require to determine the cause of the symptoms. After that only correct course of treatment can be started. Try to get enough rest, eat healthy, and exercise regularly.

Female | 2

Please visit a doctor in person. This will help in better evaluation and diagnosis. Based on that, the doctor will suggest some medications etc. to manage the heart rate and CAD. Also, it is important to regularly monitor the blood work to see if the medications are working and the condition is not worsening.

Actuallyy i had a positive tmt test what should i do now

A positive Treadmill Test signifies the necessity to proceed cardiac evaluation. It would be wise to visit a cardiologist who can carry out further tests such as echocardiogram or coronary angiography in order to establish the root cause. The cardiologist will help you understand what happens next, providing customized and effective treatment for your heart health.

I’m a 55 year old female. Have undergone bariatric surgery in 2014. I weigh 70 kgs now (earlier 92kgs). I do not have any diabetes or blood pressure. My heart rate is always on the higher side. Especially since a year. I’m taking deplatt cv 10 since October 2020 once daily as prescribed by a cardiologist. My angiogram shows 40% blockage in the LAD. KINDLY ADVISE.

Female | 55

Please have a healthy lifestyle like eat healthy, do exercise daily, sleep well ,stop smoking and drinking if you do etc. Stay away from stress and tension to reduce your heart rates. You can also go to a cardiologist for discussing more treatments that can work for you. I hope this answer proved useful.
