Is a painless penile bump spreading?

Patient's Query

I’ve noticed a small bump on my penis for some time. It’s not painful or itchy, but it seems to be slowly spreading or getting a bit bigger. I just wanted to check if it’s something normal or needs treatment.

Answered by Dr. Neeta Verma

Not all bumps are something serious. It could be a harmless cyst, a skin tag, or even just a small pimple. Sometimes, friction or even a blocked hair follicle can cause these bumps. However, it's always best to have it checked out by an urologist just to be sure. They can give you a proper diagnosis and recommend any necessary treatment.

A few days ago I noticed a bump on my head and I thought I just hit my head. After a couple days it started to get a bit bigger and I noticed that it was a pimple on my scalp. I popped the pimple and removed all the pus and it started to bleed for a little bit but it shortly went away. I went to take a look at it today and I noticed a small circular bald spot about 1 cm in diameter where the pimple used to be. When touching the area with my hand I noticed that the hair in that area is really sensitive and can fall out if I rummage my hand through that area. Is this a concern or is this something normal?

A small circular bald spot on the scalp after popping a pimple is not uncommon, but if the area is sensitive and hair is falling out, please see a dermatologist to rule out infection or other underlying conditions.

I am 21 year old female... extreme hair fall is there from last 1 month....what should I have to do

Female | 21

You are dealing with a problem of a lot of hair falling out, which can be one of those things that worry you. Stress, poor nutrition, or hormonal changes are common causes of your age. It's crucial to consume a healthy and balanced diet packed with vitamins and minerals. Try relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, guided imagery, and yoga to manage stress. Gently using hair products and not tying hairstyles tightly can also be beneficial.
