We are extremely sorry for re[lying late, in such cases ideally pain relief drugs and sleep medication should suffice, but if the pain persists then visiting a burn specialist or dermatologist is always ideal.
Following are the types of pain you experience post burn:
Acute pain: pain that typically happens during change of wound dressing or physical therapy.
Breakthrough pain: pain that constantly keeps coming and going throughout the day, often attributed to healing, contraction (tightening of muscles) or repositioning.
Resting Pain: a slight pain that is almost always present.
Chronic pain: pain that lasts for 6 months or longer even after the wound has healed.
Neuropathic pain: pain that is caused by damage to and/or regeneration (re-growing) of nerve endings within your skin.
