Why do I feel nauseous after eating?

Patient's Query

Two days ago at night, about 10 minutes after eating food, I started feeling nauseous and then vomited. Since that day, whenever I eat something, I feel like vomiting and have nausea in my stomach, but I don’t actually vomit. Other than that, I don’t have any problems in my body.

Answered by Dr. Samrat Jankar

Sometimes when our stomach doesn't agree with certain foods, it can lead to nausea and vomiting. In your case, it could be due to a stomach bug, food poisoning, or even a mild intolerance to something you ate. It's good that you're not vomiting anymore, but the persistent nausea is concerning. I recommend sticking to bland, easy-to-digest foods like crackers, rice, or bananas for now. Make sure to stay hydrated and rest. If the symptoms continue, it's best to see a gastroenterologist for a proper evaluation.

If someone swallowed a small rubber band by mistake will it cause any issues

Female | 24

Swallowed a tiny rubber band? No need to worry! It usually passes through your body without any issues, and you might not even notice it. However, if you experience stomach pain, nausea, or difficulty passing stool, seek medical attention immediately, as it could indicate a blockage.

You have the symptoms of acidity and chest burning sometimes, as well as a cough. These signs are possible indicators of acid reflux. Eating a lot of spicy or oily food may cause this. You can start to avoid such foods and eat smaller meals more frequently. Drinking lots of water can also be beneficial. Vitamin supplements may not help this directly, but eating a balanced diet can enhance your general health.

Some gastric problems and bimetic and stomach feel heavy Fever cold dry cough body pain since 10 _15 days

Female | 50

You are experiencing some stomach upset and feeling sluggish as well. If you have had a fever, cold, dry cough, or/and muscle aches for the last fortnight or more, this might indicate gastroenteritis (stomach flu) or other viral infections. Rest, take fluids only in plenty, and eat simple easily digestible meals. If the condition persists or becomes severe seek medical attention without delay.

I am suffering from incomplete bowel evacuation, inconsistent urination and sialorrhea since October 2017. I underwent most of the checkups and tried various remedies, but to no avail.

Male | 25

Incomplete bowel evacuation, inconsistent urination, and hyper-salivation can be caused by various issues such as nerve problems or muscle weakness. See a specialist who is capable of conducting the necessary tests and treatments to find out the actual cause of the problem. Medications or physical therapy may be among the many treatment choices to help you in your journey to recovery.
