Hello, my mom went to the doctor for UTI symptoms. After checking her, the doctor prescribed her Ciprofloxacin. After reading the severe side effects it has, my mother is uncomfortable in taking it. Would Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) be the first option to treat a UTI? Are there other antibiotics with less severe side effects? She hasn't taken the antibiotics as she's not been feeling well. The past two days she had chills and feeling warm. They also sent my mom her culture test a few days later after the doctor visit. They determined she has a UTI and provided a list of other antibiotics
