Hi, I wanted to transplant my hair so please can you share with me the details about the types of transplant, cost and how to take precaution after the transplant and how long will it take to grow the hair so that they look like my natural hair.

Answered by Dewangi Newaskar

Hello, We can surely guide you with all the details about Hair Transplant. Firstly, there are two ways to bring your hair back:

  • Surgical Method
  • Non-Surgical Method.

Surgical Methods:

  1. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction): In this process, the hair transplant surgeon will begin by giving you local anesthesia and start extracting the hair follicles from the donor area (back of the scalp) with the help of Neograft tool and implant it on the recipient area (bald region) with a small needle. This method is painless and will not leave back any scars.
  2. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation): In this process, a strip of skin bearing hair follicles is cut from the donor area. Later, the hair follicles are dissected under a microscope and the good hair follicles are implanted in the bald region. Further, the hair transplant surgeon will stitch the donor area from where he cut the strip. The only disadvantage of this method is that it leaves scar behind.
  3. Robotic FUE: Robotic FUE is similar like FUE hair transplant. Just that the surgery is performed by the robot under the supervision of the hair transplant surgeon.
  4. DHI (Direct Hair Implantation): DHI is an advanced or modified version of FUE hair transplant in which extraction is followed by implantation simultaneously.

Non- Surgical:

  1. PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma): In this process, the hair transplant doctor will extract blood from your body. It is then put into a centrifuge machine. Further, the machine rotates for 10 minutes and segregates the RBCs, poor plasma and rich plasma. Later, the doctor will inject the rich plasma in the bald area. PRP can be clubbed with other surgical methods like FUE and FUT.
  2. Medication: Medication like Minoxidil can also be consumed for hair restoration. But minoxidil is an over the counter drug, your dermatologist would have few more.

Secondly, the cost of hair transplant depends on many factors:

  1. Grafts required,
  2. Technique you choose,
  3. Level of Baldness,
  4. per sitting cost,
  5. Experience of the surgeon,
  6. Clinic (small or high-end clinic).

The average cost of hair transplant in Bangalore:

  1. will range from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 1, 80,000.
  2. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs. 30 per graft to Rs. 45 per graft.
  3. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs. 25 per graft to Rs. 40 per graft.
  4. DHI hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs.50 per graft to Rs. 60 per graft.
  5. Robotic hair transplant cost in Bangalore - Rs. 65 per graft to Rs. 100 per graft.
  6. PRP hair treatment cost in Bangalore- Rs. 3000 to Rs. 15000 per session.

Precautions:

  2. While massaging the scalp be very careful with the grafts.
  3. Avoid consumption of alcohol and smoking until the completion of the hair transplant treatment.
  4. Don't perform stressful exercises.

I am 33 years old men.i working as a driver .I have acne on buttocks for several years. Especially after driven vehicle I feel so hard . What can I do now..? Is there any location

Male | 33

A breakout on your bum can arise due to sweat, friction, or clogging pores with bacteria. To minimize acne, wear loose-fitting clothes, shower after driving, and use a mild facial cleanser. As other options, develop a habit of consulting with the pharma about the medications selected. It may help you reduce the symptoms.

Male | 13

Without a physical examination, it is difficult to understand your problem and the cause of it. I advise you to visit a dermatologist for proper diagnosis of your condition. Based on that, he may recommend the right treatment for your problem which can include antibiotic or anti-inflammatory creams.

I wanna use glutathione as my skin is getting darker

Female | 21

Some people wish for lighter skin, but glutathione may not help. Increased pigmentation can be caused by factors like UV rays or skin issues. Trying to change your complexion with glutathione can be risky and might not work. It’s better to focus on using sunscreen, staying hydrated, and eating a healthy diet to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

Urjas oil lagane par jalan hota hai

Male | 36

Feeling a burning sensation after being oiled with Urjas is not unheard of. It could be because your skin is sensitive, or if you have any allergies to the components of the oil causing the reaction. Your skin reacting is a sign. To help with this, immediately cease using the oil, wash the area with a little gentle soap and water, and apply a soothing moisturizer or aloe vera gel. If the sensation persists, switch to a different product.

I am 28 year female.i have ithyosis vulgaris which is very itchy and dry skin is present.what can I do?

Female | 28

You might have a condition called ichthyosis vulgaris, where the skin becomes dry and itchy because it doesn't shed properly. To manage this, it's important to keep your skin moisturized with non-irritating, fragrance-free lotions. Taking warm, not hot, showers with mild soap can also help. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water, as it helps nourish your skin from the inside.
