I am 24 year old girl who is suffering from pcod and facing hirtuisim and acne unwanted hair on legs chest and some on underarms still I am under medication I want to know does it can be controlled by waxing till I don't want laser at least for now or laser is the only last option to get rid permanently from unwanted hair

Answered by Samruddhi Bhartiya

Given that you have a disorder related to hormonal imbalance, therefore laser would be rendered inefficient in your case. Electrolysis hair removal is the only known treatment recognized by FDA which can deliver permanent results though, and it can also help you despite your condition, so this is an option for you. It ranges between Rs 800 to Rs 5,000 per hour and is safe to use on facial area. Cost varies depending on factors such as doctor's choice of equipment, location of clinic and its infrastructure, number of sessions, area covered, and the density or volume of your hair as well. You can refer to our list of Dermatologists in India and connect with the right kind of experts if you want more knowledge on this. Also, you can approach us whenever you have any doubts. The temporary side effects will be pain, redness and swellings. But if not done properly, then you could risk having scarring, keloid scars and changes in skin color.

My Grandmother is Bedridden for past 4 years. For past 1 month she is having Bedsores in between the shoulder blades which measures around 5×5 cm. Initially we did dressing and it healed leaving a black scar. But for past 2 days we noticed pus discharge from one edge of the scar with foul smell. Inside the scar it is fluctuant. My questions are :- 1. Do we have to remove the entire scar and do the dressing or through the opening in the edge of the scar irrigating and giving antibiotic wash along with betadine gauze packing in the abscess cavity is enough? 2. To prevent further bed sores which bed is good? Water bed or Air Bed?

Female | 92

As for the wound, it is crucial to clean it well and cover it with antibiotic gauze. This is the way it can be healed. Concerning the prevention of further sores, both water beds and air beds are useful by alleviating the pressure on her skin. Be sure to move her body every so often so that she doesn't get too much pressure in one spot. This will also help to prevent more bedsores.

I have pimples what is the best treatment for pimples and also acne and how to remove tan

Female | 15

Pimples, acne, and tan are usual skin problems. Red bumps are the assets of the pimple, while a bunch of pimples adds up to a pimple. They are the result of both oily skin and dirt on it. The face can be washed twice a day to achieve this. Implements such as benzoyl peroxide can be used to cure them. Tan is dark skin which is the result of the sun. Using sunscreen can prevent this. Getting rid of the tan takes time, use the skin-lightening creams or laser treatments instead.

I have been sick for the pass 9 years after missing five days of meal only warm water i have been going to the doctors and I have not been getting any help or isn't getting better I have to drink hot water everyday right through out the day to stay alive I tried hospital, clinics and other doctors nothing can I get better with this sickness or is it too late for me ?

Female | 37

Not taking proper food for so long can damage your body severely. The symptoms you talked about, for instance, your constant feeling cold and desire for hot water all the time, could indicate you are suffering from something serious such as malnutrition or damaged organs. You are supposed to go to specialists for diagnosed tests and treatments. You have to understand that it's not too late to get good treatment and work towards being healthy.

I am 23 yrs old girl who is suffering from pcos , obesity . I have hair on my body as well as facial hairs . My weight is increasing. Please tell me how to control this facial hair growth without medicine This is my question I request you to please revert me the answer.

Female | 23

It sounds like you might be suffering from PCOS which is caused by hormonal disturbances. Excess body hair and obesity are the most typical signs. Unwanted hair on the chin and the upper lips may be a result of high levels of male hormones in your body. To manage hair growth without medication you could try gentle methods such as shaving, waxing, or threading. These will grant you temporary relief as the hair is removed.
