Asked for Female | 25 Years

I am a 24-year-old female. I am suffering from PCOS due to which there is visible growth of facial hair on the upper lips and under the chin. I want to undergo treatment for the permanent removal of this hair.

Answered by Samruddhi Bhartiya

  • Since you have PCOS thus we would suggest going for electrolysis. Although the doctor will know better.
  • Electrolysis hair removal treatment can ensure permanency in removing hair, as opposed to laser hair removal which will onky slow down the pace of your hair growth, but is costlier, and will charge rs. 800 to rs. 5000 per hour. You can still enquire with the doctor about laser removal and how it will affect you hair growth given that you are afflicted with this condition.
  • Temporary side effects include pain, redness and swellings.
  • But if not done attentively, then can also lead to permanent scarring and changes to skin color.

I just want to ask can i go to solarium today if i have a magnetic resonance in 2 days? i mean because of radiation, is it related or not allowed

Female | 21

It is not recommended to go to a solarium before your MRI scan, which is a tanning bed that is more powerful than a normal one. The rays from the solarium can affect how clear the scan will be sometimes. It’s like taking a picture with a dirty lens – things might not turn out sharp. If you are worried about anything, you should avoid the solarium and speak to your doctor about any further concerns.

my hair fall day by day increase why any thing wrong?

Male | 30

Hair fall is a common issue but it becomes a point of concern every day with the amount of hair shed as a result of stress, poor diet, or health problems. A balanced diet, stress management, and the treatment of underlying health issues are the best ways to take care of your health. The use of mild hair care products and avoiding high heat can also be beneficial.

I am 24 years old girl . I have low vitamin d3 when I get it checked in February and from that time I m taking supplements . All other things are normal .But after 5 month itself my hair fall does not stop at all.I m suffering from high hairfall .

Female | 24

Sometimes not having enough vitamin D3 can cause people to lose their hair. You should keep taking the vitamin D supplement as the doctor told you. You should try to eat more foods that have iron and protein in them as well. One thing that might help is finding ways to relax when you are stressed.

I have ringworm for almost 4 months .some of the ringworm in my inner thighs and now in pubic area too. Some of them under my breast too.applied clotrimazole, terbinafine ointments. But didn't worked. What should I do

Female | 18

It looks like you have bad case of ringworm which did not respond to the OTC medicines. I suggest that as soon as possible you see a dermatologist who specializes in fungal infections. They may give you oral antifungal medicine and topical treatment to improve the result. Seek urgent medical care since untreated ringworm can cause problems.
