Are Laser and Chemical peel treatments safe for the skin?

I have seen a lot of videos on Youtube of Laser treatment for hair and skin to remove pigmentation and acne scars. Also, I wanted to know about chemical peels. Are all these treatments safe or not?

Chemical peel is a clinical treatment in which a chemical solution is applied to your skin to remove the top layers, and the skin which grows back turns out to be much smoother in comparison.
Depending on the depth of these peels, you will find that there 3 types available - light, medium, and deep. With a light or medium peel you may need to undergo this procedure multiple times so as to obtain desirable results. And deeper the peel, more dramatic the results will be, but accordingly same will ensue a longer recovery time as well.
Chemical peels are effective in treating wrinkles, discolored skin and scars — usually on the face. They can either be done alone, or in combination with other cosmetic procedures as well.
There are various side effects that can follow however, such as redness, scabbing and swelling on using medium to deep peel, scarring in rare cases which can be softened with steroids, changes in skin color such as hypopigmentation after light peel or hyperpigmentation after dark peel, bacterial/viral/fungal infection, and damage in organs such as heart, kidney or liver if a deeper peel is applied.
An experienced dermatologist would know whether your skin is suitable for this treatment, his expertise will enable him to make careful decisions regarding the choice of peel & appropriate number of sessions to be arranged, he will also conduct examination tests such as reviewing your medical history, knowing your expectations and doing physical examinations, and along with that he will prepare you for the treatment beforehand by suggesting you what kind of medicines/creams/bleaching agents to use, and what things to be avoid, such as exposure to sun, cosmetic treatments, and hair removal treatments.
