Is it normal to bleed after hair brush?

Patient's Query

Is it normal bleed after using a hair bush how do I stop it or what do I do?

Answered by Dr. Archit Aggarwal

When you brush your hair vigorously, sometimes the bristles can irritate your scalp, causing tiny cuts that lead to bleeding. To help stop the bleeding, you can apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth or cotton ball. You might also want to switch to a softer brush and be a bit more gentle while brushing your hair. If the bleeding persists or you notice any signs of infection, like redness or swelling, it's best to see a dermatologist just to be safe.

The spots may be of different types in babies. Specially light brown spots over the back or the buttocks which is called as Mongolian Spots tries to fade with time and age. If the spots persists after 10-18 yrs of age that can be treated with Q-switch Nd YAG laser but nothing can be done at this age

I had pcos and in january i had passed a large blood clot with sever pain in palvis but now my periods are also normal. I had extreme emotional stress as my mother was severly ill. I am concerned about my hair my hairline is intact but top and crown area is affected and diffuse thinning is there

Female | 25

Hair loss can be caused by stress, hormonal imbalances, or health issues like PCOS. In your case, the shedding might be related to these factors. The good news is that it should improve as your menstrual cycle regulates. Eating well, managing stress, and self-care will help your hair grow back stronger.

Can I use benzoyl peroxide ointment for acne

Male | 13

Acne is a frequent skin problem that affects a person's skin by pimples and redness. Acne can be managed by using benzoyl peroxide ointment. It operates by eradicating bacteria from the skin. You might notice dryness or peeling at first, but it usually gets better with time. It is important to use only a small amount and keep away from sensitive parts.

I'm 20 years old female, Im having mouth ucers on and off. What could be the issue? Can I use omeprazole tablets for this?

Female | 20

Stress, neglecting oral hygiene, and certain foods can cause mouth ulcers. Usually, Omeprazole tablets are not used for the treatment of mouth ulcers as they mainly aid with stomach issues. For the treatment of ulcers, you can use over-the-counter remedies such as oral gels or rinses to reduce the pain and facilitate the healing process. Do not forget to maintain a proper dental hygiene routine and a balanced diet to keep them from returning.

A small size mole on right side of my nose. Which treatment is best to remote it. And how much cost will be charged .

Male | 35

I suggest that you visit a dermatologist and have them check out the mole on your nose. They can tell whether the mole is a benign or malignant one. However, based on the diagnosis, surgical removal or any other alternative mode of treatment may be recommended by a dermatologist. I suggest consulting a dermatologist near you for further advice. The treatment cost is determined by the recommendations and location of a particular clinic.

On my penis small red rash and itching And upper body also effected

Male | 32

This could be a case of dermatitis which is a skin condition caused by such things as allergies, irritants, or infections. To make this disease go away, try not to get in contact with any irritant, wear loose clothes as well as the right detergent, and apply mild soap. The use of a sensitive skin moisturizer can soothe your skin, as well, and be the ending part.

i want to consult personally can i get number mam

Female | 20

I get that you want to talk to a professional. One of the focal problems here is figuring out your symptoms properly, as they can have their origin in diverse aspects, such as stress, an infection, or another health problem. I\'d love it if you could mention any particular signs you think are causing these abnormal feelings in you. Healthcare providers can provide you with the most effective treatments that fit your health by addressing your concerns. Establishing a relationship with a doctor guarantees you proper assistance as well as emotional support.
