Need permanent hair removal and does it has any side effects? what will be the estimated cost

Answered by Samruddhi Bhartiya

The laser hair removal treatment (rs. 1,500 to rs. 55,000 per session) can slow down hair growth, but electrolysis is the only known method which is also recognized by FDA, that can permanently remove hair and stop any regrowth.
Electrolysis hair removal treatment in India can cost you anywhere between Rs 800 to Rs 5,000 per hour.
Cost of both treatments can vary, depending on doctor's choice of equipment, location, number of sessions, body parts covered and their sizes. Electrolysis would additionally depend on density of your hair as well.
For more information you can refer to our list of Dermatologists in India and connect with experts, you can also reach out to us whenever you have any doubts.
The temporary side effects of both treatments would be pain, redness and swellings.
But if not done properly, then they can cause scarring, keloid scars and changes in skin color as well.

I am suffering from Skin Infection it's started 2 days back 2 month back once infection cme I am concerned dr and it's cure and how it's started again

Male | 21

Skin infections can recur due to various reasons like incomplete treatment, poor hygiene, or even certain skin conditions. It’s essential to see a dermatologist for proper evaluation and treatment. In fact, antibiotics or antifungal medications may be necessary depending on the type of infection. Meanwhile, keeping the area clean and dry can help prevent further spread. I recommend booking an appointment with a dermatologist to discuss your concerns and get the most suitable treatment plan.

I want to know about genital warts

Female | 25

Genital warts result from a virus which spreads via sex; they resemble tiny bumpy growths and may appear pink or flesh-colored, sometimes causing itchiness or pain. A dermatologist should be consulted for treatment; this could involve prescribing a cream or carrying out procedures to remove them. The use of protection during sexual activity can help prevent their transmission.

I am 18 years old female and I am suffering from cystic acne since past few years. I tried everything possible.. went to dermatologist but nothing worked.... What should I do now ?

Female | 18

Cystic acne at the age 0f 18 years indicates underlying hormonal cause like PCOS, insulin resistance etc. this can be evaluated by certain blood tests and scans. Please consult an experienced dermatologist for the same. Intra lesional triamcinolone injections, oral retinoids, oral contraceptive pills,  etc may be recommended once the cause is established by the Dermatologist. Proper dosing and adequate medication course is needed for satisfactory results in severe acne forms like cystic acne.
