Where to find top psychological hospital in Bhopal?

Patient's Query

My elder brother had done drugs(weed) for a very long time since schooling days and now he is showing some mental issue, aggression and more... we have consulted alot of doctors in bhopal but we takes medicine for 1 month or 2 and then avoid taking medicine(we can't force him to take medicine because he is 28 and show aggression if forced). Which is the best psychological hospital in bhopal to get him admitted?

Answered by Dr. Vikas Patel

\When someone has a history of long-term drug use, especially with substances like weed, it can sometimes lead to mental health issues like aggression and mood swings. It's important to understand that these changes in behavior could be linked to his past drug use. Now, in terms of next steps, finding a good psychiatrist could be beneficial. He can provide specialized care and support for your brother's specific needs.

These symptoms may result from different disease such as sleep apnea, anxiety disorders or schizophrenia. I suggest you see a sleep expert or a psychiatrist to get a proper diagnosis and a treatment.

my mom is sick and very cold skin she is talking in her sleep to her dead mother and mumbling her teeth are clinking fast she can’t even eat

Female | 55

It seems that your mother is showing signs of a severe condition called sepsis. This occurs when the body overreacts to an infection and causes harm. The cold skin, rapid teeth chattering, and speaking with her deceased mother could indicate that she is extremely ill. Immediate medical attention is necessary to help her body fight off the infection and recover.

I sent my friend to the hospital as she took Ativan and trazodone together will she be able to walk ok

Female | 26

Combining Ativan and trazodone can induce excessive sleepiness and instability in walking. As a result, a person may experience difficulties in walking and an increased likelihood of falling. There are some symptoms to be on the lookout for: extreme drowsiness, confusion, and dizziness. If your friend has taken these two medications together, it is crucial to stay with them and assist them in walking if necessary to avoid any accidents. Taking such combinations of medicines is not always advisable; hence you are advised to avoid it.

Can i take warm milk at night as I am taking antidepredsants

Female | 43

Drinking warm milk before sleeping is usually okay for people taking antidepressant medicines. Milk has tryptophan, a substance that helps make serotonin. Serotonin is a chemical that aids sleep. However, some individuals may get stomach problems or gas from warm milk. If you don't experience these issues, a glass of warm milk at night is generally fine. Ensure it doesn't interact badly with your medications.

I’ve been taking Cipralex and Fluanxole for a few years and about 5 months before I started having exaggerated startle response (myoclonus and blinking as a reaction to a sudden stimulus). Can it be caused by antidepressants? I’m very scared :(

Female | 27

Various factors can contribute to this reaction, such as stress or underlying medical conditions. If you're concerned, it's important to consult a doctor for accurate evaluation and guidance on your symptoms and medication. Never alter your medication regimen without medical advice.

Female | 42

As your body normalizes, symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, and fatigue can come up. They may range from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on personal factors. The most important thing is to keep yourself hydrated, take a rest, and do light exercises like walking. If these feelings don't go away or become worse, consult a healthcare provider. The doctors can evaluate the situation and give advice on how you can manage these phenomena safely.

My son aged 25 was learnt to be under your treatment.I neither know for what illness nor have his prescription. He is aggressive and wouldn't co-operate if I call him for consultation with you along with me and his mom although he said to have consulted you.The boy is confined to his room and is hostile towards me for reasons unbelievable. His mother, my wife was under Dr vijayakumar's treatment from 2000 for over a period of 10 years. Now she consults another psychiatrist as she was on a transferable job. I am 62 years old and my wife 56 years. She had taken VRS from Bank job six months ago. My son is only child and a pampered one.His behaviour isn't acceptable although he would appear normal. I am worried how I could manage to give him treatment through you as he is aggressive and may also leave home

Male | 25

Aggression and hostility may be symptoms of other problems such as anxiety or depression. It is very important to handle the situation with empathy and patience. Supporting him through the process like by advising him to reach out to a psychiatrist, can be helpful. The main approach to the matter is to allow him to freely express what he feels, thus he will be able to share his issues.
