My masi had whipple surgery in Feb 2021. Since November she has been feeling pain, bloating stomach and cramps but initially she ignored it as it is very common in people. But recently it became severe and so I consulted our doctor. Few reports are yet to come but doctor is thinking there might be peritoneal carcinomas to her stomach lining. That can lead to the early stage of Peritoneal cancer. Can you please show some light on this? We are extremely confused
Yes post Whipple surgery pain and discomfort for limited time period is a common complain. A thorough examination and investigations are mandatory if we are suspecting any progression of disease. There are specific Cancer markers which can help us diagnose the condition. Peritoneal Carcinoma has to be ruled out as soon as possible. Exact comment on treatment planning can only be done once all the investigations are done. So be in touch with your surgical oncologist and for any help.

Hello, I am 64 years now. I was diagnosed with throat cancer. It's been six months since I finished radiotherapy. But I'm still nauseous all of the time and can't eat or swallow anything. The discomfort in my mouth and throat, as well as the ulcers, are excruciating.
Radiation therapy in throat cancer is a very common treatment modality. It is associated with some side effects which reduce after a certain time period. Nausea, difficulty in swallowing, stomatitis and dryness of mouth are common side effects after Radiation therapy. These side effects can be managed through some saliva substitutes for keeping the mouth moist. You can use some lubricating anaesthesia solutions suggested by oncologist to help in reducing pain because of ulceration. Nutrition is the key to general well being of the body, so if difficulty in swallowing you can opt for temporary feeding tube to fulfill the nutritional needs of the body.

Hello Sir, my mother was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer (parotid gland cancer) on 28th. It is in an advanced stage. She's 69, and on blood thinners. She is really scared and asked me to get a second opinion. Kindly refer someone who can help us through this condition.
We need to check few more details. Whether surgery done or not? Generally, surgery remains 1st step and on safe hands the age mentioned is really no an adverse factor.

I have no lumps, no changes in breasts etc. But I have pain in my armpit. It isn't there all the time, but I feel it throughout the day. Has anyone else had this? Is it just hormonal or could this be a sign of tumor and breast cancer?
Pain in the arm pit can be due to many reasons, infections and breast pathologies being most common. Hormonal changes are also associated with some pain in the arm pit areas. But it is always wise to get yourself examined by a Surgical Oncologist to rule out any pathologies associated with breasts. Self examination is the key to early diagnosis and management of Breast Cancers. Undergoing a simple Mammography can rule out any queries regarding breast lumps or tumors.

Hi I am a 33 years woman. I am looking for a good hair transplant clinic in aurangabad. But as I am working I am pretty worried about timing. I learned from a few people that this surgery takes a long time to heal. That's why I couldn't finalize anything yet. Can you please suggest a clinic that won’t take much time for the surgery?
- Hair transplant surgery anywhere will take the same amount of time to complete, and that is 4 to 8 hours depending on complications faced and also divided into multiple sessions, followed by a few additional sessions for checkups.
- Likewise can be said for healing or recovery time where your scalp will get used to changes, and which in turn will take 2-3 weeks.
- But with an experienced surgeon you will get better results in terms of how naturally the grafts are placed to bring out your face, and your entire experience with the surgery will also be less straining. Refer our page to find appropriate specialists - Hair transplant surgeons.
- You can also get detailed information about this surgery and its cost breakdown/subtypes, through our blog - Hair transplant in India.

Hi I am from Dublin and at the age of my early 40’s. I consulted with a doctor here and he said I may need 3000-3500 grafts. So can you please tell me exactly how much it will cost in India and which is the right place for hair restoration?
- Each graft in hair transplant costs Rs. 25 to Rs. 80.
- So for 3,000 - 3,500 grafts it should cost Rs. 87,500 to Rs. 2,80,000.
- But that also depends on the kind of surgery opted for. To know more, read our article - Hair transplant surgery in India.

Hello Sir, I am from Tiruppur. My son is in 12th grade now. He is facing the issue of excessive hair fall. The hairline area has become thinner. It is very difficult for these aged kids to deal with as they are very much concerned about looks and what their friends are saying. But I don’t want him to go with surgery at this age. Really confused about what to do. I have these queries: 1) Is there any other way to permanently regrow hair except surgery? 2) Is it risky to get an HT at his age?
Taking his age into consideration I can suggest Advance PRP or Regenra

I am 35 yrs old male and I have problem with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. Is there any treatment for this problem
A routine brain MRI with attention to the internal auditory meatus should be requested in acute cases where no cause is detected and idiopathic origin is assumed. These individuals are usually started on oral corticosteroids with a prednisone dose of 1 mg/kg/day (max 60 mg/day) for seven days and then decreased during the following week.
Hearing aids, of which there are many sorts, are the basis of treatment in chronic situations. Even in mild or severe cases of presbycusis, hearing aids are beneficial to the majority of patients. [19] There is no way to restore former hearing thresholds, and due to psychosocial comorbidities, audiological rehabilitation support is especially necessary in these patients.
The most prevalent equipment for treating hearing loss are traditional behind-the-ear air conduction hearing aids.
Hearing aids with bilateral microphones and contralateral signal routing (BiCROS) are similar, but a microphone also helps the better hearing ear on the same side.

Hi I am 38 years and I am from Jaipur. I have been facing a gradual hair thinning problem since my early 30's. I have researched about Hair transplant, But I'm a little confused about the after looks. Does it look natural or will people understand that I am wearing something artificial?
No, hair transplant never looks artificial because the hair angle is placed as the natural hairline.

Hi I have been willing to get a hair transplant for quite a long time. I did some research also. But my concern is how long will it last? Do I have to go through this surgery again after a few years?
Since transplanted hair mimics our natural hair thus they will shed owing to aging different stages of hair growth, but other than that they should be permanent, this is if we speak of hair follicles transplanted from donor's region to the balding spot of your body.
Though we are not sure about artificial implants; biosynthetic hair implants ((not many clinics provide it, but this is an option that can be considered if no region on your body can qualify as donor's region)).
You can reach out to a specialist for information pertaining to this issue - Hair transplant surgeons.
