Is testicle pain after appendectomy normal at 14?

I am 14 years old. I had an appendectomy on 12 December, and my stitches were removed around day 8–9. Since about day 6–7 after surgery, I’ve been feeling intermittent discomfort and heaviness in my right testicle and groin. The pain is not constant; it comes and goes, sometimes dull and sometimes sharp, lasting a few seconds to a couple of minutes, and it improves when I lie down. I don’t have fever, redness, swelling, vomiting, or severe constant pain. The testicle sometimes feels heavier or firmer, especially when standing or moving. I’m able to walk and go to school. I’m worried and anxious about it and want to know if this is normal post-surgery healing or nerve-related pain

Can I Get Scar Laser Treatment? Cost?

Scar laser treatment can be a great option for improving the appearance of scars caused by acne, injuries, or surgeries. The cost can vary depending on the size of the scar, the number of sessions needed, and the clinic you choose. Before starting any treatment, it's important to consult with a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon who can assess your specific situation and recommend the best treatment plan for you. They can also provide a personalized cost estimate based on your needs. Each person's skin is unique, so what works for one may not work for another. It's best to seek professional advice to ensure you get the best results.

Do I need another emergency contraceptive pill?

Taking an emergency contraceptive pill like iPill is meant for emergencies, like the situation you described. I-Pill is effective for a certain period after taking it, usually up to 72 hours. Since you took iPill on Sunday night and had unprotected sex on Tuesday afternoon, you might still be covered by the first dose. However, it's best to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice. They can assess your individual situation and guide you on whether a second dose is needed. Your proactive approach is commendable, and seeking guidance shows responsibility.

Do I need medication for 8.2 kPa fibroscan?

Based on your results it means that your liver is in good shape. Sometimes, high weight can lead to liver issues, so it's great your doctor mentioned focusing on weight loss. Your weight of 84 kg at a height of 173 cm puts you in the overweight range. Losing weight can reduce strain on your liver. So, you can start by incorporating healthy habits like balanced meals and regular exercise. Since your hepatologist advised no medication for now, focusing on lifestyle changes is key.

Why are there two lines on my pregnancy test?

The presence of two lines, regardless of color intensity, usually indicates a positive result. This can happen even if you've taken emergency contraception like the morning-after pill. Sometimes, these pills may not be 100% effective. I recommend scheduling a visit with a gynecologist for a confirmatory test and to discuss your options moving forward. It's essential to address this situation promptly to ensure your well-being.

Why does water come out during sleep?

Water coming out from your private area during sleep, especially between 2 to 3 in the morning could be due to a condition called nocturnal enuresis, commonly known as bedwetting in adults. It can happen due to various reasons like urinary tract infections, hormonal imbalances, or even stress. There are steps we can take to help manage this. I recommend keeping track of your fluid intake before bedtime, practicing pelvic floor exercises, and scheduling a visit to discuss further evaluation and treatment options with an urologist

Why is my total bilirubin high with elevated SGPT?

Based on your results, it looks like your hepatitis A test came back positive. The elevated bilirubin levels and liver enzymes like SGPT and SGOT can indicate liver inflammation, often seen in hepatitis. This could be due to a viral infection, like hepatitis A, causing your liver to be a bit upset. Hepatitis A usually gets better on its own with time. In the meantime, it's important to rest, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol to support your liver. I recommend following up with your hepatologist for further guidance and monitoring.

Why do I have vaginal itching after sex?

Itching in the vagina after sex can happen due to a few reasons. It could be a simple irritation from friction or a sensitivity to certain products like condoms or lubricants. Is testicle pain after appendectomy normal at 14?

After an appendectomy, it's not uncommon to experience some discomfort in the groin or testicle area. This could be due to a few things, like the position you were in during surgery or even some nerves getting a bit irritated. Since you're not having any fever or severe pain, that's a good sign. To help ease your mind, I'd recommend mentioning this to your gastroenterologist during your follow-up visit. In the meantime, try to take it easy and avoid any heavy lifting.

Can I Stop Unusual Bleeding Without Tests?

It's not uncommon for periods to occasionally act up, especially with symptoms like cramps, hair growth, and weight changes. This could be due to hormonal imbalances or conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In your case, the irregular bleeding might be due to a hormonal shift. While it's essential to rule out other causes through tests later on, for now, focus on self-care: rest, stay hydrated, and consider using over-the-counter pain relief like ibuprofen. If the bleeding persists or worsens, please seek medical advice from gynecologist

Can you help me understand my UTI test results?

UTIs are usually caused by bacteria entering the urinary tract and causing infection. Common symptoms include burning sensation while peeing, frequent urination, and lower abdominal pain. Your test report likely confirms this, but let's break it down step by step. I recommend reaching out to your urologist to discuss the report in detail. They can explain the findings, prescribe appropriate treatment like antibiotics if needed, and guide you on staying hydrated to flush out the infection.

Can I Relactate for My Husband Naturally?

Relactation involves restarting breastfeeding after stopping for a period. In men, this could be due to hormonal imbalances, certain medications, or even some underlying medical conditions. It's important for your husband to consult with a gynecologist to rule out any concerning factors. In the meantime, he can try techniques like frequent nipple stimulation or using a breast pump to mimic breastfeeding. Encouraging skin-to-skin contact can also help stimulate milk production.
