Is chemotherapy the best treatment for poorly differentiated carcinoma?

Hello Doctor, I am sharing details about my father, who is 64 years old. He has always lived a healthy lifestyle — he regularly practices yoga and meditation, does not eat outside food, and quit smoking 15 years ago. However, in the last 6–8 months, he has experienced a sudden weight loss of around 10 kg and has developed a lump in his neck. He had tuberculosis around 30 years ago and completed 6–8 months of treatment at that time. Because of that history, he initially thought that TB might have returned. He recently underwent a CT scan. Based on the report, the doctor also said that it does not look like cancer and that there is a 95% chance of it being TB. However, they advised that treatment cannot be started without FNAC or a biopsy. His FNAC report showed “Metastatic poorly differentiated carcinoma.” After that, we waited for the biopsy results. The biopsy diagnosis has also come as “Poorly differentiated carcinoma.” The report further mentions that Immunohistochemical (IHC) marker study is advised.I have shared all the reports of CT , FNAC, biopsy, Ihc marker , pet CT and the treatment details with you in the PDF. I wanted to ask whether the current treatment plan is correct with chemotherapy and immunotherapy and if we are on the best possible path for my father’s recovery. I want to make sure he is getting the best and most effective treatment available. And surgery is possible in this condition ? If there is anything more that should be added or any further tests or therapies you recommend, please let me know.

Why Do I Feel Abdominal Vibrations and Blood When Wiping?

Experiencing vibrations in your abdomen and seeing blood when you go to the washroom could be due to various things. The vibrations might be related to muscle contractions or bowel movements, while the blood could be from hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or even issues with your intestines. It's essential for you to see a gastroenterologist for a proper evaluation. In the meantime, try to stay hydrated, eat high-fiber foods, and avoid straining during bowel movements.

How can I stop nerve jhanjhanaht in scrotum?

Nerve jhanjhanaht, or a tingling sensation, in the scrotum can be caused by various things like nerve irritation or compression. It's essential to determine the underlying cause. To help alleviate this, you can try wearing loose-fitting underwear, avoiding tight clothing, and applying warm compresses to the area. However, if the sensation persists or worsens, it's best to seek medical advice. I recommend scheduling an appointment with a sexologist who can assess you thoroughly and provide appropriate treatment.

Why are black marks on hand and leg itching?

Black marks on your hand and leg that are making you itch could be due to a few things, like contact dermatitis from something you touched, eczema, or even a fungal infection. These can all cause dark spots and itching. I recommend keeping the area clean and dry, avoiding scratching to prevent any infection, and using a mild moisturizer. If it doesn't improve or gets worse, it's a good idea to see a dermatologist for a proper evaluation.

Why isn't Terbinafine and Fluconazole curing my child's tinea?

Tinea corporis and tinea capitis are fungal infections causing that severe itching. I'd recommend reaching out to the dermatologist again for a follow-up. They might need to adjust the treatment or consider other options. Meanwhile, keeping the affected areas clean and dry can help ease the itching.

Certain substances in these drops may pass into breast milk and affect your baby. Why Am I Not Bleeding During Periods After PCOD Treatment?

In your case, having PCOD and taking birth control pills could have affected your hormonal balance, leading to changes in your menstrual cycle. Sometimes, the lining of the uterus may not build up enough to cause bleeding, resulting in a light or absent period. It's essential to consult with your gynecologist to rule out any underlying issues. They may suggest some tests or adjust your treatment accordingly. In the meantime, make sure to take care of yourself, stay hydrated, and manage stress levels.

Why is my foreskin not moving properly?

Foreskin not moving back and forth easily can happen due to a condition called phimosis, where the foreskin is too tight to retract. It can be caused by inflammation, infections, or simply a naturally tight foreskin. In fact, the good news is that there are ways to manage this. You can try gentle stretching exercises or consult a sexologist who may suggest creams or, in some cases, a minor procedure called circumcision. It's important to address this issue to prevent any complications.

If you missed your period and your pregnancy test is negative, it may be that your menstrual cycle is just delayed due to stress, changes in diet or exercise, and hormonal imbalances. But if you continue to experience irregular periods or missed periods, you must talk to a Gynecologist.

Why am I experiencing sporadic vaginal spotting?

Sometimes, spotting outside your regular period can have various reasons. One possibility could be hormonal fluctuations or even a small tear in the vaginal tissue during bowel movements. As for the skin-like thing you mentioned, it might have been a harmless vaginal skin tag or a small piece of tissue shed during your menstrual cycle. To be sure, it's always a good idea to have a check-up with a gynecologist. They can examine you and provide personalized advice based on your medical history.

Why is my left ball swollen with stomach discomfort?

The swelling could be due to a hernia, which is when an organ pushes through the muscle wall. It can sometimes cause stomach discomfort too. Another possibility could be an enlarged lymph node or a cyst. It's essential to have it checked by a gastroenterologist to confirm the cause. In the meantime, try to avoid heavy lifting or straining that area. I recommend scheduling an appointment with your gastroenterologist for a proper evaluation and guidance on the next steps.

Why is my sensitive lower skin causing PE?

It sounds like the sensitive skin on the lower part of your penis is causing you premature ejaculation (PE). This sensitivity could be due to various reasons, such as irritation from harsh soaps, tight clothing, or even an underlying skin condition. It's essential to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting clothing, and avoid harsh chemicals. I recommend consulting with a sexologist to rule out any infections or other issues contributing to the sensitivity.

Why do I have red bruises on penis head?

You’re dealing with might be penile bruises. These are essentially red marks that appear on the tip of your penis after you get an erection and then fade away within a few days. This kind of thing is pretty common and usually not something to worry about. Sometimes they can be caused by rough handling or friction during certain activities. I’d suggest being a bit more careful and seeing if that helps at all. If they keep happening or you’re concerned, it might be a good idea to bring it up with a dermatologist.

Is chemotherapy the best treatment for poorly differentiated carcinoma?

The sudden weight loss and the lump in his neck are indeed concerning. Given his history of tuberculosis, it's understandable to think it might be related. However, the biopsy results indicating poorly differentiated carcinoma do raise some flags. The current treatment plan with chemotherapy and immunotherapy is a common approach for poorly differentiated carcinoma. Surgery might be an option depending on the specifics. The Immunohistochemical marker study will provide more insights into the type of cancer and guide further treatment. It's important to trust the expertise of your oncologist and his medical team and ensure open communication with them.

Why no period or pregnancy symptoms?

There are several reasons for missed or delayed periods. Stress, hormonal imbalances, excessive exercise, sudden weight changes, or even certain medications can all affect your menstrual cycle. It's important not to jump to conclusions just yet. I recommend taking a home pregnancy test to rule that out. If it's negative, keep an eye on your symptoms and consider reaching out to your gynecologist for further evaluation.
