51 year old female with acne scars caused due to needle pricking by beautician when in teens. How much would the MNRF treatment cost per session. Would definitely like to have a consultation but looking forward to know the cost before considering the treatment. Thanks in advance!

Answered by Samruddhi Bhartiya

Microneedling is a simple treatment, which heals scars & marks. It uses fine needles to prick the skin, which allows growth of collagen for a healthier & youthful looking skin.
The dermatologist will begin by applying a topical anesthetic to the skin, then will proceed to create small pricks on the surface of your skin, with their hand-held microneedling device of choice, the device will move evenly across the area which is to be treated, the process should take approximately half an hour to complete, which will be followed by application of a soothing serum or a lotion to cool the skin.
This treatment should be avoided by patients of eczema, open sores, psoriasis, or by people who are pregnant. If you had exposure to some kind of radiation recently then skip this treatment for a while after consulting specialist. And if you have hypertrophic scarring or keloid problems, then too avoid this treatment.
It can cost between Rs 10,000 and Rs 25,000 per session.

Male | 13

Acne is a frequent skin problem that affects a person's skin by pimples and redness. Acne can be managed by using benzoyl peroxide ointment. It operates by eradicating bacteria from the skin. You might notice dryness or peeling at first, but it usually gets better with time. It is important to use only a small amount and keep away from sensitive parts.

Female | 20

Milia are tiny white bumps under the eyes, looking like cysts. Don't fret! These often disappear without action. Try a gentle exfoliating cream, containing glycolic acid or retinol. Keep skin is clean, and moisturized. For oily complexions, use lightweight, oil-free moisturizers. Avoid squeezing or picking milia.

I am suffering from a postpartum hair fall issue. What should I do?

Female | 30

Up to 50% of new moms suffer from normal postpartum hair loss due to such hormonal shifts. It typically spikes around 4-5 months and subsides in a period between six to twelve months. Pay attention to general health, softer hair washing and scalp massage. If hair loss is heavy, prolonged, or associated with scalp problems then it’s advised to see a dermatologist. You are not the only one, and your hair will likely be back to normal!
