Why do I have recurring pimples on my vagina?

Patient's Query

I am a 24 year old female. I have been having these recurring pimples on my vagina for 10years now. My vaginal walls are scaly white and are often itchy. I don't have a weird discharge save for when am ovulating, a clear odorless discharge. I have never had sex because of my condition. I am also overweight with a BMI of 26.

Answered by Dr. Anju Methil

You might have a medical condition known as lichen sclerosis. The main signs are the reappearance of small pimples, the vaginal walls that become white and scaly, and the sensation of itchiness. Obesity and sexual abstinence maybe your risk factors. A dermatologist should be consulted first for an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment. They may recommend some creams or medications to help controlling the symptoms and avoid complications.

How to treat recurring boils?

Female | 51

Recurring boils can be cured by maintaining it with proper hygiene. Warm compresses may be used to alleviate the pain and aid in drainage. But if the boils keep coming back, it is recommended that one should visit a dermatologist who can provide antibiotics or other medications to treat them.

Hello Doctor, I am a 23-year-old male and wanted to explain my situation clearly. I was treated for balanitis and completed two courses of prescribed medication, including topical creams (KETO-4S initially, later CANDIDERMA). While the main infection seemed to improve, I am still experiencing redness, raw and sensitive skin, and pain on touch. I would like to mention that due to anxiety about the condition, I may have used the steroid-based cream more frequently than advised (approximately once every two days for reassurance). I am concerned this may have affected healing. From today, I have also noticed some white discharge from the area. I have not had any sexual contact. However, last night I had a strong spontaneous erection during sleep, and this morning I noticed the white discharge afterward. I wanted to kindly ask: * Why this might be happening despite completing treatment * Whether this suggests ongoing infection, inflammation, or irritation from topical steroid use * What the appropriate next steps would be I would greatly appreciate your guidance, as I am currently unable to consult a doctor in person. Thank you very much for your time and help.

Female | 22

Excessive intake of sinamrin tablet may result in various side effects such as a headache, a frequent feeling of vomiting, and abdominal pain. Promptly, drink enough fluids and rest. A little rest can bring peace. However, if your physical symptoms increase, such as problems with the vision or breathing, it is better to quickly consult a doctor. Your health is our priority.

Is there any treatment to treat dark patch on my face

Female | 23

It is advisable to take the help of a dermatologist who deals with skin conditions and works to provide an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment. Do not use over-the-counter drugs, or self-medicate. They may worsen the condition.

Female | 18

It's good that you received the necessary injections after the incident. Sometimes, even minor scratches can lead to infections, causing symptoms like fever, headache, cough, and muscle spasms. It's possible that your current symptoms are related to the scratch, but they could also be due to other factors like stress or a different infection. Since it's been over a month since the exposure and you're still experiencing symptoms on and off, it's essential to consult a healthcare provider for a proper evaluation. They may recommend further tests or treatment to ensure your well-being.
