My Grandmother is Bedridden for past 4 years. For past 1 month she is having Bedsores in between the shoulder blades which measures around 5×5 cm. Initially we did dressing and it healed leaving a black scar. But for past 2 days we noticed pus discharge from one edge of the scar with foul smell. Inside the scar it is fluctuant. Do we have to remove the entire scar and do the dressing or through the opening in the edge of the scar irrigating and giving antibiotic wash along with betadine gauze packing in the abscess cavity is enough? 2.
