Why is my eye smaller and painful?

Patient's Query

hy i want to say about that my one eye is smaller than oter and i feel very pain inmy eyee i dont know how to cure itt as well

Answered by Dr. Sumeet Agrawal

Having one eye smaller than the other could be due to a variety of reasons, such as muscle weakness or nerve damage. The pain you're feeling could be related to inflammation or an underlying issue. It's essential to have this evaluated by an eye doctor to determine the exact cause. In the meantime, try applying a warm compress to help with the pain and avoid rubbing your eyes. I recommend scheduling an appointment with an eye specialist as soon as possible to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

Patient: Mrs. Kavita Dilip Dubal Date: 10 Aug 2024 Age: 42 Complaints: Diminished vision in the left eye for 15 days. Findings: Right Eye: Vision: 6/12P Diagnosis: Myopia, macular degeneration, tesselated fundus Treatment: Eyedrops for constant use Left Eye: Vision: CF1Mtr. Diagnosis: Degenerative myopia with choroidal neovascularization Recommended: Anti-VEGF injection Question: Should you proceed with the injection or explore other options? and what is condation of right eye??

Female | 43

In your left eye, there is degenerative myopia with choroidal neovascularization, which has caused your vision to decline. In this condition, new blood vessels are growing in the wrong place. The best treatment option right now is an anti-VEGF injection, which can prevent these vessels from causing further damage to your eye. Meanwhile, your right eye has myopia, macular degeneration, and a tessellated fundus. Although your eyesight is not clear, regular use of eye drops can help control the situation to some extent.

Hi ..I am forty-eight years old... Can I have LASIK to correct my vision... ??

Male | 48

Lasik eligibility depends on having a stable vision, eye health, and corneal thickness. At age 48, it's essential to consult an eye care specialist to determine if lasik is suitable for you. Other vision correction options like implantable lenses can be considered if Lasik isn't recommended.

my father will lost both right and left eyes vision and doctrors will say nerve is weakness not possible to surgery vision chances after surgery less what can i do now please suggest other option..

Male | 65

If nerve damage is present and surgery isn't viable, exploring other treatments is essential. Consider seeking a consultation with an ophthalmologist specializing in low-vision rehabilitation, as they can provide strategies or devices to improve his quality of life. Regular visual assessments may help identify any changes or alternative therapies. Lifestyle adjustments such as a healthy diet rich in antioxidants and managing underlying conditions may also support overall eye health.

I am 13 year old , I have problem on eye down infection

Male | 13

It seems that you could develop a disease known as “lower eye infection”. Symptoms may feature including redness, swelling, and discharge from the eye. It is usually the case that bacteria get to the eye when it fails to respond well. For the infection, clean the eye with warm water and then, if your doctor prescribes them, use antibiotic eye drops. Always wash those hands so viruses stay away and do not spread the infection.
