Why skin rashes after fever recovery not improving?

Patient's Query

I had fever which lasted for almost 2 days and after recovering from fever, I am having skin rashes prickly type with faded reddish colour which is not reacting to medicine

Answered by Dr. Archit Aggarwal

Sometimes after a viral infection like a fever, the body can react in different ways, such as developing a rash. These rashes can be due to the body's immune response or even a separate viral rash. In fact, some medications can also cause rashes as a side effect. I recommend keeping the affected area clean and dry, avoiding scratching to prevent infection, and wearing loose, breathable clothing. It's important to follow up with your physician for a proper evaluation and to discuss any necessary treatment options.

I face chicken pox disease from last 3 days and now I feel hot after taking fever medicine

Female | 17

After taking fever medicine, it usually happens that a person feels to be hot. Chickenpox is a virus that causes the manifestation of itchiness all around the body with red spots that turn into blisters. Fever, headache, and tiredness are the most common symptoms. Always remember to drink plenty of fluids to keep your body hydrated. Calamine lotion is useful in alleviating itching. Plenty of rest is essential.

I need some help not sure what to do. Not so long ago I noticed some wierd looking lines on my lower back, I figured it might be from the seats at school as they have pretty sharp wooden supports that when leaned on might make dents like that. But it has been a couple of weeks and these marks are not going away. Not I'm not so sure if it is the seats cause that would normally be gone In a couple days. If I could compare it to anything they are horizontal lines some longer some shorter, a couple of them and (it might sound a little bizarre) but they look somewhat like stab wound scars or something similar, atlast from my point of view.

It is advised to see a dermatologist who will inspect the site and give a prescribed diagnosis. They may also give treatments options that can be used to lessen the lines visibility.

Feeling itching on Back of my palm and fingers during midnight between 2 to 5am . Unable to sleep because of that .

Male | 43

This may happen due to many reasons, such as dry skin, eczema or allergies and contact dermatitis. Itch sensations may also be heightened at night due to the natural circadian rhythm of the body. It is advised to apply a hypoallergenic moisturizer before going to bed, which can mitigate symptoms of dry skin. It is possible to manage allergic reactions by identifying potential triggers such as certain soaps or fabrics and avoiding them. If chronic or aggravating, it is so recommended to consult a dermatologist for an in-depth evaluation and tailored treatment options targeting the true cause of nighttime scratch.
