The risk of inheriting Motor Neuron Disease (MND) depends on the specific genetic mutations. Having a parent with MND does not guarantee that you will develop the condition, as the majority of cases are sporadic. If there is a known genetic mutation in the family, genetic counseling can provide more information about the risk.

You are likely to get it. But there is only 50% chance of you getting MND (motor neuron disease) from your mother. Only one out of two patients get Motor neuron disease if their mom or dad has such problem.
