CHICKENPOX blisters usually scab over within 7-10 days.. Keep the following in mind.. - Apply calamine lotion or oatmeal baths to reduce itching.. - Avoid scratching blisters to prevent infection and scarring.. - Keep fingernails trimmed and clean.. - Take medicines for fever and discomfort... - Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.. - Avoid contact with PREGNANT WOMEN and people with weakened immune systems... - Consult a healthcare provider for severe symptoms or complications...
