Why am I experiencing bloating post-surgery?

Patient's Query

Good Evening Dr I am Ratan Sarawagi 69 from Powai, Mumbai On 30th Oct,25 I had a left knee surgery partial. I am diabetic patient - taking Imegemic 1000 & Gemer 2 After the surgery I am suffering from bloating & little stomac pain even after I stopped all antibiotics & pain killer. I think it’s due to sugar medicine side effect. Please help

Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

The medications you're taking for your diabetes can sometimes cause digestive issues like bloating. The Imegemic and Gemer tablets might be playing a role here. In fact, these medications can affect how your body processes food, leading to bloating and stomach discomfort. It's good that you've stopped the other medications, but these ones might still be causing the problem. I would recommend speaking with your endocrinologist about possibly adjusting your diabetes medications to see if that helps ease the bloating and pain.

Why is my kneck so sore and tight?

Male | 26

Neck pain can have a variety of causes, including poor posture, stress and injury. It is important to see a doctor, an orthopedist in particular, to understand the issue and have it treated properly. Distributing the sitting time and practicing neck exercises can be another means of relieving symptoms as well.

A bulging disc pressing against nerves can cause pain and affect your balance. Falling is dangerous. You better go back to the hospital. They might have to change your medicine or try something else.

Muscle knots due to stress all over back and neck. Very healthy but slightly high lymphocyte count but doctors say its fine. I am so freaked out

Female | 15

Muscle knots are usually caused by stress. Stress & tension later develops in the form of muscle tightness and discomfort called muscle spasms.
Regarding your slightly high lymphocyte count, if your doctors have reassured you that it is not a cause for concern, it's generally best to trust their expertise. Minor variations in blood cell counts can occur without indicating a serious health issue.

I started having muscle pain/ache in my outer right hip area a day after I changed my everyday footwear a week ago. Pain is dull and bearable but irritating. It usually starts when walking and tends to go away slowly when sitting in a relaxed sitting position. Sometimes it also starts when sleeping. I'm not taking any medication of any kind. I'm underweight due to my lifestyle and eating habits.

Male | 24

It seems that you have muscle pain on the outside right hip region. This pain could have been caused by changing shoes. Muscles can ache if they are tense or strained. In addition, if you are too thin, your muscles may easily get tired. Put on supportive footwear, stretch gently and take a good diet so that your muscles can heal. Also, make sure to rest and avoid activities that worsen the ache.

I feel cramp on both legs and survical issue

Male | 35

Feeling cramps on both legs as well as cervical issues may be because of nerve compression in the spine. The patients should see a neurologist or an orthopedic specialist for an adequate diagnosis and treatment. If these signs are ignored, they can trigger more serious problems.
