The Union Government of India has announced plans to establish bone marrow transplant centers at three hospitals in Delhi. This initiative aims to offer affordable bone marrow transplants to patients. This is in response to the high costs and long waiting times currently experienced at AIIMS Delhi, the only central government-run hospital in Delhi offering this facility. The centres will likely be established at Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, and Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) in Delhi.

This decision is expected to significantly reduce the waiting times for patients who earlier relied on AIIMS Delhi, which can perform 15 transplants per month. The maximum expenditure for a patient at these transplant centers will be approximately Rs 2 lakh. This cost is considerably lower than those incurred at private hospitals, ranging from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. This move aligns with the government’s decision to make bone marrow transplants more accessible and affordable for patients.

My mother is 52 Years old house wife and she's survive in chest Cancer past 3 years and didn't well Dr do treatment but feeling getting bad

Female | 52

Cancer is tough, but there's hope. Please let the doctor know if she feels worse even after treatment. Some symptoms such as coughing, pain, or feeling weak are of multiple possibilities. The doctor possibly has to ascertain if the cancer has recurred or if there is another problem. Waiting is not a good choice especially when you tell them how your mother is doing.

Throat cancer related? Mera gale ke cancer ka treatment ho chuka hai cemo aur radiation se 3 months ho chuke hai puchna tha mai kbtk solid food le paungi?

Female | 34

Chemotherapy and radiation therapy can cause difficulty swallowing and mouth sores, making it hard to eat solid foods. Sticking to liquid foods can help you recover slowly, and you can reintroduce solid foods once your throat heals.
