  • Type of cancer: Immunotherapy is not the treatment option for all types of cancer. The cost of immunotherapy is different for different types of cancer. Depending on the type of cancer a patient has, immunotherapy type and drugs will be decided, thus affecting the cost of immunotherapy in Delhi.

  • Types of the drugs used: In immunotherapy, there are different types of drugs whose costs are also different. The doctor will decide the drugs which will be used for the treatment, and accordingly, it will affect the cost of immunotherapy.

  • Living cost: The living cost in Delhi is almost 65% lower than the other developed countries. Therefore, you can get all the facilities at a very low cost.

  • Competition: Well, Delhi is a place where you have abundant choices of hospitals. All these hospitals offer a variety of medical treatments. So, therefore you can choose at your convenience from a wide range of cancer hospitals in Delhi than other cancer hospitals in the world.

Success Rate of Immunotherapy in Delhi

The success rate of immunotherapy in Delhi has seen a tremendous increase. The five-year survival rate of immunotherapy has increased from 5.5% in 2012 to 28 % in 2019. While other cancer treatments like chemotherapy, radiation therapy, etc., cannot give this high survival rate at stage IV cancer, immunotherapy becomes one of the leading choices to get better results. Immunotherapy has successfully treated 15 types of cancers, including skin, lung, kidney, and bladder cancers, and the number is expanding.

In an article by The Hindu, Dr. Shripad Banavali, head of academics and professor of pediatric and medical oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, said that immunotherapy is the most promising area in cancer right now.

Can we give blood after 1 week of gfc treatment

Male | 21

You need to wait before giving blood after GFC treatment. Your body requires time to recover; it lost cells during the procedure. Don't give blood too soon - at least one week is best. That lets your body rebuild the blood cells affected by treatment. Donating blood earlier could make you tired or dizzy. Wait a week to be safe after GFC.

Hello, I want to know if breasts are removed in Breast Cancer surgeries, or are there any other methods in which there is no need of removing the whole breasts?

Female | 46

The biology and behavior of breast cancer will be considered for planning the treatment of breast cancer. Treatment options also depends on several factors like the tumor subtype, hormone receptor status, stage of the tumor, patient's age, general health, menopausal status, and preferences. The presence of known mutations in inherited breast cancer genes, such as BRCA1 or BRCA2. There are some general steps commonly preferred for treating early-stage and locally advanced breast cancer. Doctors generally recommend surgery to remove the tumor in breast. Though the goal of surgery is to remove all the cancer which is visible but microscopic cells sometimes remain behind. Therefore another surgery may be required. For cancers which are large or are rapidly growing, the clinician suggest systemic treatment with chemotherapy or hormonal therapy before surgery. This is called neo-adjuvant therapy. This helps in shrinking the tumor which is easy to operate; also breast can be preserved in some cases. After surgery it is important to check for recurrence. Then adjuvant therapy is advised. Adjuvant therapies may include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and/or hormonal therapy When surgery to remove the cancer is not possible, it is called inoperable, and then Chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, and/or hormonal therapy may be given to shrink the cancer. For recurrent cancer, treatment options depend on how the cancer was first treated and the characteristics of the cancer. What will be the line of treatment in your case will depend on your clinical condition. You can take one more opinion to a clear understanding of your concerns. Consult Cancer Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or any other city you find convenient.

I know it is hard to have symptoms that seem like Hodgkin's lymphoma. This kind of cancer can make the lymph nodes swell up. It can make you feel very tired too. You might lose weight without trying. You might get sweaty at night. The best thing to do is see a doctor who treats cancer. The doctor might need to do a test called a biopsy to know for sure if you have Hodgkin's lymphoma. The biopsy can help the doctor plan the right treatment for you.

There is no guaranteed cure for chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Long term outlook may vary with individual specific cases. Chemotherapy may help to manage the disease, but the goal is usually to help manage symptoms and slow down the progression of the disease.

You first need to get evaluated by an oncologist. Let him decide the stage of cancer, type of cancer and start treatment accordingly. Right treatment on right time helps to heal and also improves quality of life. The treatment for throat cancer largely depends on the size of the cancer, stage of cancer, age of patient, his overall health.

The main treatments are radiotherapy, surgery and chemotherapy. The patient will need a team of specialists. Post-surgery speech therapist, dietician will also have a role in recovery along with medical line of treatment. Consult an oncologist. Hope our answer helps you.
